Trinita Louise (Corelli) Borgia

Mrs. Trinita Louise (Corelli) Borgia, age 90, of Utica, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at the Masonic Care Community of NY where she was currently residing. Her passing occurred with the love and support of her family by her side. Born in Hinckley, NY on May 29, 1920, Trinita was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Civita) Corelli. As a young girl she and her family relocated to the Utica area. On January 11, 1942 she married Thomas Borgia who passed away on December 11, 1969; the happiness of their relationship was based on reciprocal love and a concern for family life. During her working years, Trinita held employment with the Oneita Knitting Mills, Mele Manufacturing Company, General Electric Company, and most recently, the Masonic Care Community, the position from which she retired. She was a loving, kind, and giving woman who found joy in caring for her family. She especially enjoyed cooking and participating in the social activities at the North Utica Community Center. She was devoted to her Catholic faith. Trinita is survived by her daughter, Mary Bowker of Forestport; and her son, Thomas A. Borgia and Maria Rosato of Newport. Always cherished in her heart was the memory of her son, Michael Borgia, who passed away on November 11, 1997. In addition, she leaves her grandchildren, Thomas M. and Vicky Borgia of GA, David Borgia and Heather of Utica, Allison Bowker of Forestport, Michael A. Borgia of NY City, Michelle and Paul Stockbridge of Westmoreland, and Veronica Borgia of NC; and several great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws, Gloria Corelli, William Bowker, and Jeannie Wolcott. She was predeceased by her brothers, Diamond Corelli, and Moody Corelli; and her sisters, Mary Dondaro, and Josephine Dontino. The family extends sincere appreciation to the staff of the Amherst Neighborhood at the Masonic Care Community of NY for the compassionate and personalized attention Trinita received during her stay. Trinita’s family will honor and commemorate her life in private. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Trinita’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Friday afternoon at 1:00 at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. John Buehler. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Mass. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations may be made to a charity of choice; envelopes will be available at the service. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.
