Robin W. Abrial

Mr. Robin W. Abrial, age 57, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the comfort of his home. Born in Utica on July 18, 1957, Robin was the son of Carol (Cushman) Abrial and the late William Abrial. Raised and educated locally, he attended Miller Street Elementary School and Utica Free Academy High School. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he honorably served his country stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado. Robin’s career experiences were wide-ranging over the years. He began at Williams-Pugh Roofing where he learned the skill and fine points of roofing. He subsequently worked in various industries including Tartan Textiles, Baker Greenhouses, Birnie Bus Company, and Special Metals. Most currently, Robin held a position with Lincare, Inc. delivering medical supplies. Robin held his family in his heart, especially the children. He was generous in giving his help to others and was more than happy to go out of his way to do it. Robin had a humorous side to his personality and he was high-spirited and full of life. He preferred outdoor activities including camping, off-road trucking, and riding his motorcycle. As a marksman, he sharpened his skills at shooting ranges and was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA). His indoor hobbies included billiards, darts, and foosball, and the many tournaments in which he competed. Robin is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Candace Marie and James Liebig of FL; his grandchildren, Aliya and Alora; his mother, Carol Abrial; and his brothers and sister-in-law, Brian and Pearl Savicki of Clinton, and William H. Abrial of Utica; He also leaves many aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews including Joyce and Paul Visintini, Eddie and Barb Pett, and Angie and Jerimiah Geary; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws, especially including Angelo Milozzo who shared a special bond with Robin. The family extends gratitude to Robin’s co-workers and clients of Lincare for their compassion and concern. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Memorial contributions in Robin’s name may be considered to the Stevens-Swan Humane Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton at the convenience of the family.
