Mrs. Patricia Anne Ventura

Mrs. Patricia Anne (Spatuzzi) Ventura, age 74, of New Hartford, entered into final rest on February 25, 2012. Her passing occurred at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on May 23, 1937, Patricia was the daughter of the late Anthony and Jennie (Pietryka) Spatuzzi. She graduated from T.R. Proctor High School with honors. On January 26, 1957 she married Ercole Ventura with whom she shared a 55 year marriage; a joyous relationship that was filled with dedication and special everyday touches. At one time she worked at the Charles Millar Co. Her greatest accomplishment was the blessings of her family. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in New Hartford. Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Ercole "Eric"; her beloved children, Cynthia LaMunion of Liverpool, Catherine and Daniel Daviau, Debra and Michael Lynch, Diane Knight, Riccardo and Audrey Ventura, all of New Hartford, Carlene Ventura, and Sean Ventura, both of New York Mills; and her precious grandchildren, John P. Knight of New Hartford, Eric LaMunion of Liverpool, Michael, and Kelli Lynch, and Joseph, and Jamie Ventura, all of New Hartford. She also leaves her two sisters, Carmelita Galime of Baldwinsville, and Billie Harris of Schuyler; her brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Lois Spatuzzi of Spring Hills, FL; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws, Tosca and Warren Meola, Ralph and Bernadette Ventura, Romolo Ventura, and Carlo Ventura. She also was blessed with many wonderful friends. She was predeceased by her in-laws, Luigi and Esther (Grande) Ventura, and Dionisio “Nise” Ventura; and her aunt, Gladys Carucci. The family extends special thanks to Dr. Eric Yoss, Dr. Paul Davidson, Dr. Jerry Love and their staffs, and the St. Elizabeth Medical Center ICU nurses and staff for the wonderful care they shared with Patricia. The family will honor and commemorate Patricia’s life in a private gathering. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service which will commence on Tuesday morning at 11:00 at St. Thomas Church, Route 12B, New Hartford, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. David Sears. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations may be made to St. Thomas Church in lieu of floral offerings; envelopes will be available at the service. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
