Mrs. Patricia A. (Rossi) Circelli

CLINTON - Mrs. Patricia A. (Rossi) Circelli, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 9, 2017 in the comfort of her home with her loving husband by her side. Born in Utica on April 4, 1934, Patricia was the daughter blessed to the late Albert Francis Rossi. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. On April 9, 1952 she married Ralph J. Circelli in a union that bonded two hearts. They loved and respected one another throughout their 65 ½ years of marriage. In 1968 Patricia earned her certification as a Nurse’s Aide from the Manpower Training Center. In 1970 she received her license as a Practical Nurse from the Utica School of Practical Nursing. She began her medical career in the Maternity Unit at St. Elizabeth Hospital and worked the majority of years at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was always dependable and devoted in her vocational field, retiring after fulfilling her life’s work. As a wife and mother, Patricia gave her loved ones her heart and her wisdom. She was progressive in her thinking and kept time with all the changes in all the phases of her life. She listened closely, loved intensely, and lent advice thoughtfully. She was so proud of her family and the support she received from them while she prepared and studied for her license in Nursing. Pat enjoyed her home and kept it in a meticulous presence by decorating it with beautiful appointments. She was an excellent cook, talented baker, and congenial hostess. Pat played the piano by ear and put the keys and notes of music to memory. Her favorite tunes were from the 1950’s. She and Ralph relaxed in the comfort of their home and were fond of watching Westerns and old TV series. During her leisure time, she would knit and crochet. Pat practiced her Catholic faith as a parishioner of the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes. She loved the Lord and recited the Holy Rosary always with intercessions for family and friends. Patricia is survived by her husband, Ralph; her daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Douglas Sutton; her sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Circelli, and Brian R. and Audrea Circelli; and her grandchildren, Jade, Pearl, Opal, and Patrick Sutton. She also leaves her nieces, nephews, especially Robert Kennedy and his family who were so kind and helpful; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, sister-in-law Josephine “Peachy” Circelli; and dear friend Marie Testa. She was predeceased by her in-laws, Philomena and Benjamin Ferro, Mary Lupia Badger and her husbands Joe Lupia and Larry Badger, Margaret and Robert J. Kennedy Sr., John and Frances Circelli, Joseph and Barbara Circelli, Jerry and Mary Circelli, Phillip and Mary Circelli, Frank and Violet Circelli, and Samuel Circelli. The family extends their sincere thanks to the EMT’s of the New Hartford Fire Department for their valiant efforts to save Patricia, and the personnel of Edwards Ambulance for their kindness and compassion. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Patricia's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Wednesday morning at 10:30 from the funeral home and at 11:30 at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Joseph Salerno. Interment will follow graveside in Calvary Cemetery.
