Mrs. Marie A. (Constabile) Lavier

NY MILLS – Mrs. Marie A. (Constabile) Lavier, age 53, unexpectedly transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, August 25, 2022. She was blessed to be cared for by her entire family, and is now alive in Christ. She was born in New Hartford, NY on July 18, 1969, to the late Anthony R. and Marie A. (Olivadoti) Constabile. Marie was blessed to have created so many wonderful friendships in the North Utica area where she grew up and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in 1987. She then went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Journalism from SUNY Morrisville, graduating in 1989. On March 19, 1994, she married her greatest friend and love, Timothy J. Lavier. The two of them were truly a perfect match. Throughout their marriage, Marie showed her husband unconditional love, especially when he suffered a life-altering injury. During those trying times, she stood tall and was her husband’s greatest support, his rock. She was humbly devoted to Tim throughout their life together, and their 28 wonderful years brought forth many treasured memories. For nearly 33 years, Marie worked at United Health Care in Customer Service excelling to the position of Claims Project Manager. Marie loved her work and went above and beyond for those she served and she truly cared about helping them. She was beloved by all her coworkers because she was selfless with her loyalty, hardworking nature, and great sense of humor. She had an exemplary work ethic and was currently employed by the company and will be in the hearts of those who were blessed to work and interact with her. The greatest testament to her warmth as a mother was that her daughter aspired to be half the woman and mother Marie was. The strength and grace with which she greeted each day came from the beautiful heart she possessed. Her son TJ was her “little man” – she could be counted on to be his number one fan; in fact, Marie was his everything. Marie dedicated herself to her family and she will always be remembered in such a way. Marie also shared a very strong bond with her siblings. She and her sister Barb were mutually the best of friends. Marie and her brother Tony were close knit in their hearts and were always there for one another. Marie never really understood how precious she was to her family. Her kindness and generosity of heart will live on long after her. The special love she showed to those she cared for will ensure she will not be forgotten. She lived a full, good, well-balanced life – and all with a dash of spice! Marie was a fabulous cook and an excellent baker. The ocean was her happy place. She had just returned from a special trip to Florida where she had a wonderful time visiting with family and friends. Marie and Tim were so blessed to have family on both sides who rallied and supported them through both good times and times of struggle. Marie lived by this motto to keep herself cheerful, happy, and content – “Family first!” Known lovingly as “Aunt Rea,” Marie played an integral role in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She was supportive, dependable, and a constant role model to them. They all were confident in knowing she was only a phone call away and would be there for them always. All of her nieces and nephews knew of her kindness and were blessed to love her as well. Marie came to know the Lord through her brother-in-law Wayne. She grew in her faith, and lived it out so tangibly through humble service. The Lord knew Marie, and created in her an understanding and acceptance of His grace. She was a devoted member of Centerpoint Christian Fellowship and Ministries in Barneveld NY. She shined there, being a key leader and having a great connection with the youth and young adults. Her departure into the next life will leave a large void in her church family, she will be greatly missed. Marie is survived by her cherished husband, Tim: her daughter, Shana M. Lavier and Jake Ravinski; and her son, Timothy J. “TJ” Lavier, Jr and Natalie Hobin. She will also be remembered by her beloved siblings, Anthony “Tony” R. Constabile III, and Barbara A. and Pastor Wayne H. Clemens. Marie’s memory will be revered by her many nieces and nephews, Anthony Constabile, her godson Spencer Constabile, Brianna Constabile, Nicholas Constabile, and Sara Constabile; Brian W. and Deanna Clemens, Tricia A. and Adam Hall, Stephanie Rae Clemens, her goddaughter with whom she shared a special bond; and her godson Anthony Case. She is additionally survived by her great-niece and great-nephews, Brayden, Stella, and Matthew. She will be missed by her mother-in-law, Carol Graves (and her late husband Ray); and her father-in-law, Fred and his wife Eileen Lavier; her sister-in-law and her husband, Debbie and Joe Schorer; and her brother-in-law, Raymond Graves. She is also survived by her beloved cousins, aunts, and uncles. Marie was the type of person who knew and had many friendships throughout her life, but it would be remiss not to mention the long-time close bond she shared with Diane Mooney, Shelly Kaelin, and Holly Boccardo. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Centerpoint Christian Fellowship Church and Ministries, 8021 NY-12 in Barneveld. Marie's Celebration of Life will commence at 6:00 p.m. at Centerpoint Church immediately upon conclusion of visitation. Memorial contributions may be considered to the MUDRoom Cafe at Centerpoint Church, where she displayed radical hospitality.
