Kurt William DiNardo

Kurt William DiNardo, age 24, formerly of Marcy and currently a resident of Coral Springs, FL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 15, 2006 at his home with his family by his side. Born in New Hartford on April 1, 1982, Kurt was the son of Kurt and Pamela (Bryant) DiNardo. After attending kindergarten at Oriskany Elementary School, he was subsequently raised and educated in Florida where he graduated from Coconut Creek High School as a member of the class of 2000. Kurt was employed as a selector for the Publix Grocery Store Distribution Center where he provided effective and invaluable team leadership to his colleagues at the Publix organization. He had previously worked alongside his father in the family business, DiNardo Tile, Marble, and Stone. In his personal life, as in his professional life, Kurt was a leader rather than a follower. He was determined, strong-willed, and secure in his knowledge and opinions. His strength of character and unwavering values were matched and complemented by his kind and loving heart. He was always ready to provide an attentive ear, a strong shoulder, a wise word, and a helping hand to family, friends, or anyone in need. In fact, his own needs always took second place to the needs of others. He was a strong believer in inner Faith and, as a result, he derived his spiritual values from his own character and life experiences. His greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with his daughter. He loved traveling, especially to Europe. As a lifetime Raider with the South Florida Youth Football League, he was recognized and respected as a team leader and captain. While residing in New York, Kurt and his family were parishioners of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church in Whitesboro. Kurt is survived by his daughter, Brianna Margaret DiNardo; his parents, Kurt and Pamela; and his brother, Marc Francis DiNardo of FL and his friend, Jeannette Caballero. His survivors also include his paternal grandmother, Thea DiNardo of Marcy; his maternal grandfather, William Bryant of Utica; his great-grandmothers, Kay Stafford of Floyd, and Arvilla Howard of Utica; his aunts and uncles, Gisele DiNardo, Deborah DiNardo, Darlene DiNardo, Francis Ted and Christine DiNardo, all of FL, William Bryant of Marcy and his fiancée, Melinda, and Alan Bryant of Whitesboro; and a cousin, William Bryant of Marcy. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Francis J. DiNardo who passed away on August 5, 2002; and his maternal grandmother, Margaret Bryant who passed away on April 28, 2000. Visitation will be held today (Monday) from 4-8 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Kurt’s funeral will commence on Tuesday at 12:00 noon from the funeral home and at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Rome NY.
