Mrs. Justine E. (Johnson) Ramos

UTICA – Mrs. Justine E. (Johnson) Ramos, age 69, was reunited with all of her loved ones who had gone before her when God took her home on Friday, October 4, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on April 27, 1955, Justine was the daughter of the late George Wishart and Margaret (Bowen) Ford. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and went on to attend beauty school locally prior to successfully obtaining her license as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). On April 27, 1996, Justine united in marriage with Luis “Ripper” Ramos. The two were soulmates from the start and they shared a rare and unique love. The couple were always together and faced every challenge that came their way head-on. Their passion never dwindled as the years passed and every night was a date night! Justine held employment as a CNA at Faxton-Sunset where, for several years, she dedicated herself to providing exemplary care to those in need. Following her time spent as a CNA, she devoted her life to caring for and helping to raise her many beautiful grandchildren and honorary grandchildren. She was truly a grandmother to all. Justine’s grandchildren were her entire world, and she was theirs. Justine’s family remembers her as one of the strongest women they had ever known. She was loyal to a fault, and if she genuinely loved you, she stuck by your side through thick and thin. She was a very honest soul and could care less for “liars.” She was a hard-working homebody who always spoke her mind. Justine never allowed her loved ones to go without; she especially enjoyed filling their bellies with her famous sausage roll. She also relished her time spent watching crime television shows, drinking coffee and solving jigsaw puzzles. Justine had a strong faith in her Lord above and she trusted in Him that her family would always be provided for. Justine is survived by her beloved husband, Luis; children and their loves, Tiffiny Wilson and William West II, Heidi Walter and Jerry Walter, Kirsti Wilson and Kevin Parisi, Luis E. and Amanda Ramos, and Minerva Ramos; honorary son, Mark Caruso, and honorary daughter, Kimberly (Todd) Bello; grandchildren, Ja’Shon Carter and Kyurstin Sageer, Te’Azanae Carter and Dominique Diaz, Jazmonae Carter and Tyrell Walker, Myasia Carter, Mareeana Carter and Mello Peak, Shawn Wilson, Sky Walter, Aiden Walter, Holly Kwiatkowski, Sophia Kwiatkowski, Luis A. Ramos, the late Jordan Ramos, Dominic Ramos, Elijjah Reed, Amhiz Hall, Jasmine Titus, Raynisha Porsil, Destiny Hughes, and Sannia Johnson; many honorary grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Kingston Carter, Kaydence Carter, Isabella Ramos, and Leonardo Ramos; sister, Joyce Carman (the late Ralph Carman); and brother, John Johnson. She fondly remembered her sisters who preceded her, Jeanne Rosado, Joan Payne, Janet Johnson, and Judith Johnson; as well as her nieces and nephew, Tina Johnson, Laura Sauerhafer, Shirley Delano and Luis Rolon. She also leaves to cherish her memory many nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging Michael Wishart, Steven Mosher, Earlette Lighthall, Theresa Carmen, and Ida Redner; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; father-in-law, Bartolo Ramos (the late Felicita (Bonet) Ramos); daughter-in-law, Collen Hingre-Wilson; sisters-in-law, Maria Valencia, Wanda Ramos, Iris Ramos, and her cherished friends, Debbie Brown, and the late Ann Ryan. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the team of nurses and doctors of the ICU at Wynn Hospital for their exceptional service and tender care.
