Mr. John N. "Biggie" "Uncle Johnny" Constantine

UTICA – John N. “Biggie” “Uncle Johnny” Constantine passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes related to his heart on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the age of 38, in the comfort and dignity of his home. He was welcomed into eternal rest by those who went before him, especially his beloved “Pop,” whom he greatly admired. Born in Utica on October 19, 1987, John was the son of John W. Constantine and Kelly A. (Rabideau) Constantine. He was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School, Class of 2005. Since the age of 16, John pursued his passion for the culinary arts, beginning his career at Joe’s Pizza in Whitesboro, never realizing the extent to which he would become a legendary local pizza slinger. Through the restaurant’s various ownerships, and while balancing other jobs, he remained a loyal and dedicated employee. John served the public with kindness, often going above and beyond for his customers. He especially loved creating “off-the-menu” pizza combinations for family and friends, including his famous cheeseburger pizza. More than a pizza chef, John became close friends with many customers and like family to his co-workers. Customers would often specifically request that John prepare their pizza pie. He had a way of making people feel welcomed, appreciated, and important. Through his close friend Bobby, John met Megan Ellis, with whom he shared a 12-year relationship that was blessed with two children, Dominick and Julianna. No matter where life led the pair, they remained the best of friends, and Megan continued to be one of John’s most trusted confidants. John was a devoted father who loved his children more than anything in this world. As an adult child himself, he was the “cool parent” the kids could always turn to when looking for a “yes.” He always showed his kids how fun and lighthearted life could be, especially if it meant bending a few rules. He loved coaching them and their friends in various sports, teaching them the importance of winning, as he hated losing. A selfless soul, John was a natural provider, always making sure the kids, as well as all of his family and friends, were taken care of before himself. Compassionate and free-spirited, John always did what John wanted to do, living life on his own terms. “That’s how we do it around here,” he would say. He was the life of any party, and what he did not provide in riches, he made up for in laughter, good times, and many lifelong memories. He was an avid sports fan of the Braves, Mavericks, and Cowboys. He was also a talented musician who listened to and played a variety of genres. He played bass guitar in several bands and performed at Uptown and various local venues. It brought John great excitement to introduce others to new music he had discovered, often unlike anything they had heard before. John was very active, beginning in his early years skateboarding from place to place throughout the city. He was also part of the FTA’s, an adult softball team that once won an award against a team of teenagers. He enjoyed adventures to Lake George, often rough camping in a tent with nothing more than a Hawaiian shirt and a bucket hat. He was also a proud member of the 240 Club. He had a gift for turning simple moments into unforgettable nights. His humor, goofy personality, and adventurous spirit made every day experiences memorable. “That’s all day, brother.” Family meant everything to John. He would drop anything and everything for those he loved. A true “momma’s boy” at heart, his mother was his best friend. He deeply appreciated every sacrifice she made for him and would have given her the world if he could, and if you asked her, she would say that he did. He was an amazing son who made sure the people he loved always knew how much they meant to him. John held a strong faith and belief in Heaven, trusting that everything happens for a reason. John is survived by his beloved son, Dominick Nieves; cherished daughter, Julianna Constantine; and their mother, Megan Ellis. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Kelly Constantine; father, John W. Constantine; sister, Mary Ann Constantine; brothers, Joshua Constantine, and Gregory Rabideau; aunts and uncle, Dana Rabideau, and Wayne Rabideau, with whom he shared a close bond, and his wife Jennifer Rabideau; and many cousins, especially Lou LaBella, who was born only 11 days apart from him and was more like a brother. He was blessed with several special friends, including Ryan Williams, Bobby Ellis, Josh Yozzo, and Matt George. John was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Wayne G., Sr. and Patricia A. “Pat” (Camarra) Rabideau; paternal grandparents, Neno and Mary Ann (Belmont) Constantine; uncle, Louis “Louie” Rabideau; his paternal great-grandmother, Loretta Belmont; and Patrick, the “puppy” dog. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to the Yorkville Police Department and the paramedics for their care, compassion, and professionalism. Visitation for will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. John’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy in John’s memory may be made to his family for the benefit of his children’s future; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
