Mrs. Joanne M. (Rodio) Sait

UTICA - Mrs. Joanne M. (Rodio) Sait, age 73, passed away peacefully with her husband holding her hand until the very end, on Monday, July 3, 2023. Born in Utica on December 16, 1949, Joanne was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Antoinette (Robertaccio) Rodio. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1967. On March 16, 1968, Joanne came into a wonderful union with her husband Hans "Peter" Sait. They shared in a loving and devoted partnership for over 55 years. Joanne and Hans were inseparable, always experiencing life’s moments together. Joanne was a devoted member of the Central Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Joanne was a loving wife and devoted matriarch of her family. She was a very selfless person. She absolutely adored her children and her wonderful grandchildren. She was the protector of the family, and never wanted them to go without. She always offered her heart to others, and she had a close and special relationship with those that she loved. She made sure that everyone felt loved and special. Her presence and personality was a comfort to all that knew her. She was deeply attentive, a great listener, and always told the truth with love. She had a special way with words that would instantly make your day brighter, and your worries go away. Joanne also had a green thumb, with a passion for gardening. She was known to be just as nurturing to her garden, as she was with her loved ones. She always extended love not only to the garden and the people that she loved, but to animals as well. Joanne also had a great ear for music, adoring musical artists from Andrea Bocelli to Bruce Springsteen. Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Hans "Peter" Sait; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Cherie Sait; and her two grandchildren, Christopher Loconti, and Scott Sait, Jr. She held close the memory of her son, Robert "Bob" Sait, who preceded her on May 23, 1991. She also leaves to cherish her memory her cousins, Mary Jean and John Humphrey, Robert and Donna Robertaccio, Debbie and Maurice Isaac, Francis and Kathleen Robertaccio, and Camille Buccina; and her dear and longtime childhood friend, Linda Colangelo. Joanne was predeceased by her brother, Anthony Rodio. Gratitude on behalf of the Sait Family is extended to the staff of the Utica Abraham House for their exceptional care and outstanding support. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Talk in honor of Joanne's life which will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 585 Trenton Road, Utica.
