Mr. George W. True

Mr. George W. True, age 59, of Deerfield, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 3, 2012, when he passed away at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center with the love and support of his family. Born on March 20, 1953, George was the son of Mary (Baker) True and the late Walter C. True. He was raised and educated in Utica schools. He shared a loving relationship of 23 years with his fiancée Ellen Donahue; they were soul mates and kindred spirits devoted to each other. A true blessing, their bond brought George and Ellen a tranquil family home life which gave him great contentment. George worked for more than 20 years at United Auto Sales in his vocation as a body conditioner and detailer. His work ethic was one of his most valuable attributes, and he was faithful to his employers and his responsibilities. George’s immediate family was important to him, and he earned their respect and admiration because of the parental love he shared so willingly. His favorite pastimes were watching movies with his family and tending to the needs of their home, especially his floral garden. In years past, he created unique glass paintings, and he utilized his skills and abilities of maintaining mechanical things during his illness. One of his latest happiest moments was gathering together for his mother’s birthday and spending time with his loved ones. George is survived by his fiancée Ellen; his mother Mary; and his children and grandchildren. He also leaves his sisters and brother-in-law, Patricia and Edward Sajdzikowski, and Susan Delaney; his brothers and sisters-in-law, David A. and Karen S. True, Robert and Gert True, and Paul and June True; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his infant brother, Charles. The family wishes to thank anyone who touched and enriched George’s life over the years, and at the end of his journey. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 8th from 2:00-3:30 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. George’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
