Mr. Frank Tofani Sr.

UTICA/ACWORTH, GA - Mr. Frank Tofani, Sr., age 82, formerly of Utica, was reunited with the love of his life, Angela, as he passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2017, with his loving family by his side. Born in Utica on May 20, 1934, Frank was the youngest of 15 children born to the late Enrico “Henry” and Josephine (DeBiase) Tofani. He was brought up with solid family values and love. He attended Roscoe Conkling Elementary and T.R. Proctor High School. On May 1, 1953 he married Angela Rubino with whom he shared 63 blessed years. They were an inseparable couple who still held hands until Angela’s passing on May 16, 2016. Frank was a tile setter by trade and in the early days was the owner and operator of Modern Tile & Marble in the Utica area. One of his most memorable jobs was working on the renovation of Grace Episcopal Church steeple with his brother Richard. Frank was a good man. He was a great husband, father, and grandfather and was always around to help his family. He had many friends. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved and respected nature, a trait he passed on to his children and grandchildren. But he always felt that his greatest accomplishment in life was his loving family who stood beside him, honored him, and brought him so much joy. Frank is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Jeff Sobchik of Acworth, Georgia; his son, Frank Tofani, Jr. and Michele Tartaglia Rahn of Utica; his grandchildren, Rachael Campese, and Salvatore Campese, Jr. of GA; and David Tofani and Bianca Velardi of Utica; and his anxiously awaited first great-grandchild of GA. He also leaves his sister, Eleanor Borello; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Edith Tofani; his many cherished nieces, nephews and their families; cousins, in-laws, Jeanette Creo, and Theresa Dubyna and their families; and his dear friends at Mt. Carmel Apartments and special friends John DeSimone, and Sam Ameduri. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Marie Tofani, Enrico and Paulina Tofani, Pat Tofani, and Henry and Florence Tofani; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret and Stanley Wolkowicz, Phyllis Tofani, Elizabeth “Betty” and Joseph Fiaschetti, Rose and Mario Palmano, Antoinette and Sam Paciello, Elvira Ceci, and Carmella “Cora” and Rocco Grande; and his in-laws, Vincent Borello, and Peter Dubyna, Sr. At the request of our beloved Frank, there will be no public services. Burial arrangements have been entrusted to Eannace Funeral Home, Inc.
