Frances M. (Arcuri) Lupino

Mrs. Frances M. (Arcuri) Lupino, age 94, formerly of North Utica and Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the St. Luke’s Home. Born in Utica on June 11, 1915, Frances was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (DeSantis) Arcuri. She was raised and educated locally. On June 5, 1939 she wed John J. Lupino with whom she shared 31 years in a loving marriage prior to his passing on July 15, 1970. At one time, Frances worked for the General Electric Company Radio/Receiver Plant as an assembler. She shared a great love with her family and enjoyed the comfort of her home. She was meticulous in her demeanor and with her mannerisms. She was an excellent cook and baker, renowned for her famous ‘sponge cake’. Frances was always there for others, in love and support, whenever she was needed, and was a wonderful inspiration for friends and family. During her later years, she relocated to be with her daughter and son-in-law, Maryrose and Gary, who honored her with much comfort, love, and contentment. She enjoyed the social sisterhood of the Red Hat Society and supported the Buffalo Bills football team. At one time she was a parishioner of both the former St. Francis DeSales and St. Mark’s Parishes, and was currently a communicant of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Frances is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Maryrose A. and Gary A. Dudek of Frankfort; her sons and daughters-in-law, John “Jack”, Jr. and Sandra J. Lupino of Westmoreland, and Douglas R. “Doug” and Sharon K. Lupino of Frankfort; her grandchildren, Brian and Dawn Dudek, Mark and Kelly Dudek, Michelle Dudek and fiancé, Michael Along, Lisa and Peterson Jerome, Jacqueline Yeomans and fiancé, Donn Sisson, Matthew and Aimee Lupino, Richard F. Lupino, Jinette and Dr. Jason Chiappetta, Juliane and John Breh, John A. and Rebecca Lupino, Julie Marie and Michele Fornino, and Douglas R. Lupino II and Tracy Ortlieb; her 19 great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Dudek, Giana Dudek, Joseph Dudek, Andrew Dudek, Noah Along, Johnpaul Jerome, Isabella Jerome, Cassandra and Dustin Murphy, Justin Yeomans, Kayla Lupino, Sara Lupino, Matthew Lupino, Jr., Kimberly Sullivan, Kouryn Lupino, Grace Lupino, Giovanni Fornino, Gaetano Fornino, Rosalia Fornino, and Jacob Douglas Lupino; and her 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brady Murphy and Dakota Murphy. Survivors also include her sister, Marian Valeriano of Utica; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws, Harriet Lupino, and Frances Grabski. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony “Squeak” and Lillian Arcuri, and Clement “Tec” and Dottie Arcuri; her sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Hugh Kelsey; and her in-laws, including Maureen Arcuri, and Anna Lupino. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Frances’ longtime physician, Dr. Daniel Goodman, for his sensitive care; the staff of Clark East at the St. Luke’s Home for their loving attention; and Rev. Anthony P. LaFache for his spiritual guidance. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Frances’ funeral service will commence on Wednesday morning at 9:30 from the funeral home and at 10:30 at St. Anthony & St. Ages Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
