Mrs. Felicia M. (Patrizio) Grassi

Mrs. Felicia M. (Patrizio) Grassi, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with the love and devotion of her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on October 29, 1923, Felicia was the daughter of the late Rocco and Antoinette (Tutino) Patrizio. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1943. On March 2, 1957, she married the love of her life, Albino Grassi, and they shared 36 blessed years prior to his passing on May 10, 1993. Felicia was employed for more than 45 years with the Joseph & Feiss Company. Successfully and conscientiously fulfilling the secretarial and payroll duties which she was originally assigned, she was appointed Office Manager for the firm, a position she held until her retirement in 1988. At one time, she was an active member of the American Clothing Workers of America. Felicia was a dedicated homemaker who was meticulous in tending to her household. Gifted with a kind and concerned nature, she was an excellent and thoughtful friend and caretaker. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish and belonged to the Busy Bodies Club, St. Anne Society, and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society. Felicia was very close to her brother, Dr. Louis Patrizio, and cherished his memory in her heart since his passing on December 31, 2000. She is survived by her devoted nephew and niece, Craig L. and Carrie Patrizio, a cherished great-niece, Isabella Maria Patrizio; and a great-nephew, Nathaniel Louis Forbes Patrizio; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins; her in-laws, Marianne Grassi of NJ, Giovannina Grassi of Italy, Amelia Grassi of OH; and her godchildren, including Vincent Giardino II and Michael Bambino. In addition, she shared a special closeness with her Rummy Cube buddies, Betty Arcuri and Fran Pavia. She was predeceased by her in-laws, Nicola and Eda Zacchigna; and her brothers-in-law, Joseph Grassi, Mario Grassi, and Clemente Grassi. The family is grateful for the nurses and staff of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, and the staff of the Guardian Angels for their continuous care and attention. Felicia’s family will honor and celebrate her life in a private gathering. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Tuesday at 12:00 noon at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Resurrection will be offered by Rev. James Cesta. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish; envelopes will be available at the service. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.
