Eva (Costello) Camerona

Mrs. Eva (Costello) Camerona, age 86, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center with the love and support of her family. Born in Frankfort, NY on April 7, 1924, Eva was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Cacciatore) Costello. She was raised and educated in Frankfort. On May 20, 1944 she married John Camerona with whom she shared 35 years until his passing in 1979. Eva was a dedicated employee of Utica Cutlery for 36 years. At home, she was the best mother, always there in love and support, when she was needed. She was also a wonderful inspiration and role model for her family, and spending time with them made her the happiest. During her leisure time she enjoyed watching television, especially her favorite shows, Wheel of Fortune and Dancing with the Stars. She was also an avid reader. At one time, she was a parishioner of the former Sacred Heart Church. Eva is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Charlene Witusik, and Helen and William Bulinski; her son and daughter-in law, John and Trenda Camerona; her grandchildren; Denise Royce, Joe Royce, and her beloved grandson, John Thomas Witusik. Always close to her heart was the memory of her grandsons, William Bulinski, and James Bulinski, who preceded her in death. She also leaves her great-grandchildren; Shane, and Stephanie. Survivors include her sisters and brother-in-law, Carm Jackson, Frances Roberts, and Irene and Jack Devens; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, in-laws, and a dear friend, Kathleen Corsette. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Anthony and Jennie Costello; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina Costello, Mary and Dominick Jackson, and Phyllis and Quentin Jones, brother-in-law. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 26th from 11:00-1:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Eva’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Rev. Anthony LaFache officiating. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
