Deborah "Debbie" (Latray) Wood

Deborah “Debbie” (Latray) Wood, age 44, passed on to the blessings of a new life on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center. Born in Utica on April 21, 1969, Deborah was the daughter of Ernest Latray and Jean (Duff) Latray. Raised and educated in Sauquoit, she was a graduate of Sauquoit Valley High School. At one time, she was wed to James Wood. She shared a very special bond with her companion and soul mate, Scott St. Onge. In the past, Debbie held a position with the Bank of America where she worked as a trainer and supervisor. A warm-hearted, wonderful woman and mother, Debbie’s life was her family and her home. She was an excellent example of a caring and considerate parent. The unselfish acts of kindness she performed will live on in the memories of those who knew her. She enjoyed scrapbooking and drawing on her exceptional card-making skills to create uniquely beautiful cards for all occasions. Debbie is survived by her son, Cameron Wood of Whitesboro; her mother, Jean Latray of Whitesboro; her father, Ernest Latray, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Sylvan Beach; and her companion, Scott St. Onge of Whitesboro. She also will be mourned by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly Piccione and Leo Genung of Boonville, NY, and Dawn and David Gates of Ohio, NY; her brothers and sister-in-law, Ernest Latray of Whitesboro, Robert Latray of Ilion, and Steven and Michelle Latray of Texas; her sister-in-law, Debra Latray of Ilion; her step-siblings, David Baris, Lori Alderwich, Christopher Baris and his son Christian, Dawn Baris and Joe Colangelo and her daughter, Adreanna Baris; many aunts and uncles; cherished nieces and nephews, Jeremy Piccione and Ashley King, Brittany Piccione and Tyler Kline, Amber Gates, Pearl Gates, Jessica Latray Wilson, Joshua Latray, BobbiKristina Latray, Kimberly Latray, Bryce Latray, Brody Latray, Brant Latray, and Brianna Latray; her great-niece, Adalaide Wilson, and great-nephew, Michael Wilson; many cousins; extended family, and members of the St. Onge and Bonvicino families, especially acknowledging Joanne and John Bonvicino, David St. Onge, and Kelley Thorpe. She was predeceased by special aunts and uncles. The family will honor Debbie’s life in a private gathering. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.
