Mr. Chester John "Bo" Wlock

UTICA- Mr. Chester John “Bo” Wlock passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, at the age of 76. Chester was born on October 29, 1946, to the late Chester and Alyce Alexandria (Rakowski) Wlock. He was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On October 31, 1970, Bo wed Mary Carbone. They shared a loving and blessed union of over 52 years. At one time Bo was employed at the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center as a Mental Hygiene Therapy Aide. He later was employed at Pinefield, where he worked until his retirement in 2002. Bo loved his family and was very devoted to their needs. He had a kind, warm heart that made him easy to have a conversation with. It was a joy to spend time with Bo. He was extremely attentive to the needs of his children, and he also loved spending time with his canine companions, Maggie and Max. He always loved a trip to Vernon Downs or Saratoga to wager on the horses. In his earlier years, Bo loved to travel with Mary and his family. He especially enjoyed his trips to Maine and was proud to have traveled to Italy with his wife. His favorite shows to pass the time included The Price is Right, Law and Order, My 600 Pound Life, and Blue Bloods. He was also a proud fan of the New York Yankees. Bo is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his children and their loves, Tricia and Yaret Cora Wlock and their children, Crystal, Jose, and Nex; and Scott and Michelle Wlock. He treasured the memory of his daughter, Lisa Gleba, who preceded him in death in 2019, leaving behind son-in-law, Carl Gleba. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hayden Wlock, Alexandria Wlock, Brianna and Jordan Madore, Christi Phelps and her fiancé Alex Plamondon, and Ricky Phelps and his fiancé Gaby Ricci; great-grandchildren, Rylee, Jace, Kaedyn, and Logan; many aunts, uncles; cousins, especially Cookie (Gary) Vanderneut who he adored like a sister; and extended family members, Joseph and Marian Gleba. Bo was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ciro and Rose (Morrock) Carbone; and many uncles and aunts. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and staff of MVHS at St. Elizabeth Campus for their care and compassion. To honor Bo’s life, his pacemaker was donated for a future recipient in need. In keeping with Bo’s wishes there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service and Celebration of Life which will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023, at 5:30 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. “Bo, BCLYD”
