Mrs. Cecelia C. Milozzo

Mrs. Cecelia C. “CeeCee” (Rotundo) Milozzo, age 70, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on August 4, 1945, Cecelia was the daughter of the late Louis A. and Jeanette (Chinino) Rotundo. She was raised and educated locally. On Valentine’s Day in 1971 she married Angelo A. Milozzo, a union blessed with their beautiful children. Angelo passed away on January 27, 2001. CeeCee was a strong and independent woman. She ran her household with great efficiency, balance, generosity, and love. She put her “all” into raising her children. She was an excellent bargain shopper and always said that she could “hear the deals calling her”. After the children left the “nest”, she continued her education online which led her to a position as a caregiver at the Masonic Home Daycare Center. Her caring, maternal nature and love of children made her well-suited for this calling. CeeCee had a funny side and a wonderful sense of humor that brought sunny days to children in her care. She was generous with her charitable work, always donating to Toys-For-Tots. She was simply a wonderful woman, and words can never describe her countless acts of kindness that brightened so many moments in so many lives. Cecelia is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anna and Sid Gilmore of Auburn; her sons and daughters-in-law, Louis “Lou” Milozzo and Katrina of Rome, Angelo Jr. and Linda Milozzo of Clinton, and Matthew and Jennifer Milozzo of Utica. She held close to her heart the memories of her sons, Anthony C. Milozzo who passed on July 16, 1987, and Ralph M. Milozzo who passed on April 11, 2007. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Ray Cieslak Jr., Catherine Gilmore; Michael Milozzo, Tony Milozzo, Austin Milozzo, Michael Swartz, Leanna Alberico; Alessa Milozzo, Haley Roberts, Lacie Milozzo; and Cecelia Milozzo, Alicia Milozzo, and their mother, Laura Warlick. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Burger of New Hartford with whom she shared a great closeness of sisterhood; her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and brother-in-law, Samuel Gendron of North Syracuse. She was predeceased by her sister, Julia Gendron; and her brother-in-law, Ronald A. Burger, Sr. Visitation will be held Thursday from 11:00-12:30 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. In lieu of floral offerings please consider donations to Toys-For-Tots or Steven’s Swan Humane Society; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Cecelia’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Father Paul Madej officiating the ceremony. Interment will follow graveside in Calvary Cemetery.
