Beverly F. (Taylor) Jackson

Mrs. Beverly F. (Taylor) Jackson, age 68, of New Hartford, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Herkimer, NY on September 22, 1941, Beverly is the daughter of Wanda (Skramco) Taylor and the late Edwin Taylor. She was raised and educated in Schuyler and attended Frankfort Central High School. She shared a companionship of 30 years with Harold W. Dewhurst; they endured the trials of life and have been supportive and dependable to each other. Beverly worked as an assembler at the General Electric Company French Road and Broad Street locations, and later as an assembler of computer boards at ICL. She was most recently employed by the Heritage Nursing Home, the position from which she retired. An outgoing, vivacious woman, Beverly enjoyed socializing with family and friends. She was a wonderful family oriented woman with a self-sacrificing and giving nature. She maintained a positive attitude when facing life’s trials and was always encouraging, especially to her loved ones. She felt that she was a truly blessed woman to be able to enjoy such a loving relationship with her grandchildren. She also liked camping and fishing, and during her spare time, she crocheted and worked with plastic canvases. Beverly is survived by her soul mate, Harold; her mother, Wanda Taylor of West Winfield; her daughters and sons-in-law, Veronica and Jonathan Ramsey of Troutville, VA, Christine Noffer of Frankfort, Theresa and Stephen A. Cristallo of Newport, Patricia and Gary Cosby of Hartselle, AL, and Sandra Champagne of Albany; her sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Cresta Jackson of Newport, and Shawn and Debbie Recore of Schuyler. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Michael Noffer. She also leaves 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Always close to her heart was the memory of her four grandchildren who preceded her in death, Renee, Rachelle, Recce, and Matthew. Survivors also include her sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann and Warren Brewster, Fanny Richardson, and Nancy and Kenneth Finch; her brothers and sister-in-law, Edwin H. Taylor, Jr., Harry and Carolyn Taylor, and Steven Taylor; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her in-laws, Bonnie Taylor, Carol Taylor, and Harold Richardson. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Beverly’s primary physician, Dr. Ile, and his nurse Marsha, Dr. Win, Dr. Wassel, and hospitalist Dr. Faber, who have been so supportive; the ICU and the 3rd floor staffs of the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center, and the Visiting Nurse Association. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-5 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. For those wishing to do so, please consider memorial donations in Beverly’s honor to the American Breast Cancer Association; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Beverly’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Wednesday at 5:00 immediately upon conclusion of visitation with her son-in-law, Pastor Gary Cosby officiating.
