Betsy A. (Conrad) Angle

Mrs. Betsy A. (Conrad) Angle, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center with her family by her side. Born on June 29, 1934, Betsy was the daughter of the late Frank Conrad. At one time, she was married to the late Leslie Pratt and to that relationship came the blessings of four daughters. She subsequently entered into a second union with Edward Angle who passed away on July 12, 2014. Betsy devoted her life to caring for her family, her home, and her pets. As a loving matriarch, she was selfless and sacrificing. She had a loving personality that allowed her to develop relationships and friendships in no time at all. She loved sitting on her porch, watching people go by and waving to neighbors she knew. She lived a simple lifestyle and nothing meant more to her than spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed solving puzzles and approached each of them as a great challenge. Her crossword books kept her mind sharp. Scratch-off games were a precious gift, and she would get excited if she had a winning card. Whenever she could, Betsy traveled with her longtime companion, Raymond Garrison, in their Chevy truck, accompanied by her dogs and cat. They often visited, and at times, resided in Amarillo, Texas. Betsy is survived by her 4 daughters, Joyce Pratt, Patricia Simon, Margaret Pratt, and Mary Ann Grimes; her 8 step children, Barb Tompkins, Berna Cross, Edward Smith, Richard Angle, Raymond Angle Sr., Eugene Angle, Marge Knapp, and Elaine Manwarren; her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Florence, and Ruthy. She also leaves her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and her longtime friends, Khaki, and Rita, who were true and trusted for many years. The family extends sincere thanks to nurse Stephanie of the Progressive Care Unit at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center who was outstanding in caring for Betsy. Thanks also to Dr. Celesta Hunsiker for her professional expertise. Visitation will be held Saturday from 3:00-4:30 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Betsy’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Sister Betty Giarrusso, CSJ officiating the ceremony.
