Ashlynn Marie Hartmann

ONEIDA - Ashlynn Marie Hartmann, age 10, went to Heaven while she slept in the comfort of her home on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Ashlynn was born at St. Luke’s Memorial Hospital on September 18, 2007, the daughter of Patricia Henderson and Justin Hartmann. Ash was a special girl and she attended J.D. George Elementary School in Verona, the teachers and staff provided exceptional care for her. Ashlynn truly was an angel on earth. She was able to make remarkable relationships with ease, and many people fell in love with her. She had a magnetic personality and you could not resist her charm. She had an array of affectionate names, but Mash was one of her favorites. Ash was a diva, for sure, and she loved her outfits. She liked what she liked, and she made a fuss when things didn’t go her way. She spoke with her eyes and the sounds she made, and you would know what made her happy or sad. Ash was blessed with so much love and with precious caretakers that taught her with sensitivity, creativity, and compassion. Ash loved her siblings and they made sure she enjoyed herself in their company. As a matter of fact, she always wanted to be in the mix and middle of things. When she shot you a side-eye look that gave you a good idea of what she was thinking. And, she was a keeper of many secrets. But it was no secret that she loved so deeply, and her smile told it all. Her grandmother and grandfather played a very special part in her life,… and she could play them both very well! Ashlynn is survived by her loving mom, Patricia Henderson; her sisters, Alyssa, Addalynn, and twins Nyla and Nia; and her brother Lamar. She also leaves her grandparents, Mary L. Henderson, Dava and Jim Jacob, and Eileen Kaplan; her aunts and uncles, Jennifer Henderson, Mary Henderson, Melissa and Isaac McCovery, Wyvetta Henderson, Ebony Brown, Amber Henderson, Wyatt Henderson, Andrew Jackson Jr., and Cruz Jackson; and a host of cousins. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Andrew Lee “Bunky” Jackson, and Mike Hartmann. Visitation will be held Saturday afternoon, January 13, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Expressions of sympathy in the form of donations may be made to Golisano Children's Hospital or Ronald McDonald House Charities; envelopes will be available at church Ashlynn’s Home Going Service will commence on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Rev. Dwayne Holmes, and Rev. Clarence Hafelin officiating the ceremony.
