Antoinette (Coriale) Ricci

Mrs. Antoinette (Coriale) Ricci, age 87, of Utica and currently residing in Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the Copley Health Center, Copley, Ohio. Born in Utica on June 2, 1920, Antoinette was the daughter of the late Dominick and Maria (Gioia) Coriale. Raised and educated locally, she attended and graduated from the first graduating class at T.R. Proctor High School in 1939. On August 9, 1944 she married Charles C. Ricci, Sr. with whom she shared a devoted commitment and a mutual dedication to their 53-year union; Charlie passed away on May 16, 1998. Mrs. Ricci continued working in the family business at Coriale Flowers throughout the years, up until her retirement. In recent years, she has truly enjoyed her grandchildren, sharing with them a mutual affection and respect. She was gifted with a special knack for cooking and baking, and she loved sharing the treasures of her special talents with family and friends. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church and a member of the Christ Child Society. Antoinette is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles C., Jr. and Christine Ricci of VA, Dr. Peter R. and Linda Ricci of OH, and Dr. Michael and Angela Ricci of VT; her beloved grandchildren, Dr. Steven and Kelly Ricci, Kirsten Ricci, Peter Ricci, Jr., Lisa Ricci, Kevin Ricci, and Justin Ricci; and her great-grandchild, Julia Ricci. Her survivors also include her 4 sisters, Theresa C. Marcantonio, Fenita A. Martino, and Carmel C. Martucci, all of Utica, and Marie Banks of NYC; and her in-laws, Thomas and Lena Ricci of New Hartford. She was predeceased by her sister Rose L. Coriale, and brothers and sisters-in-law, Lt. Francis and Josephine Coriale, and Edward and Pat Coreyale. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Please consider memorial contributions in Antoinette’s honor to St. Agnes Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Antoinette’s funeral service will commence on Wednesday morning at 8:30 from the funeral home and at 9:30 at St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.
