Mrs. Annarose (Ventura) Manca

LIVERPOOL/UTICA - Mrs. Annarose (Ventura) Manca, age 96, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 with her loved ones by her side. Her daughters know she is now truly at rest. Born in Utica on March 10, 1927, Annarose was the daughter of the late Nise J. and Anna (DeFazio) Ventura. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1945. On June 7, 1947 she married Frank J. Manca with whom she shared a happy, loving union blessed with devoted daughters. Forever with their hearts connected, they shared 41 years prior to Frank’s passing on September 29, 1988. Annarose enjoyed a 40-year career with Oneida County where she worked in various capacities beginning as a Switchboard Operator, and later as a clerk in the Naturalization Department, a processor for Passport Applications, and lastly in the County Clerk’s office as a Senior Administrator. Her work ethic was legendary, and her compassion was commendable. A wonderful woman with an optimistic outlook on life, Annarose set a fine example for her daughters. She was generous, gentle, and grateful for the longevity of her life. She took pleasure in traveling and taking in the beauty of nature. She looked forward to summers at Alexandria Bay and fun with family and friends. A social butterfly, she made friends easily and was always up for a friendly game of cards. Her daughters, like precious pearls, adorned her life and were always by her side. She was a loving grandmother to Nathan and he was the love of her life. She practiced her Catholic faith at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church when residing in Utica. Annarose is survived by her daughters, Marchia J. Manca, and Denise Urbaetis; and her grandson, Nathan Francis Urbaetis. She will also be remembered by her cousins, especially Joseph Rebisz; and the many faithful friends who graced her life in Utica and Syracuse. She was predeceased by her aunt Bessie Rebisz. She will now be reunited with her Cocker Spaniel, “Hanna Rose”. Her family will honor and commemorate her life at a private time. Inurnment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
