Mrs. Andrea M. (Imundo) Carcone

DEERFIELD - Mrs. Andrea M. (Imundo) Carcone, age 44, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 17, 2017 in the comfort of her home. Andrea was born in New Hartford on December 7, 1972. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grammar School and was a graduate of Utica Senior Academy/Class of 1992. She continued her education at Utica College and online studies. On August 12, 2005 she married Bernard V. “Bernie” Carcone. They were “two peas in a pod” and the best thing that happened to each other. They were also best friends and awesome parents. Andrea was the caretaker of Bernie’s heart, and she adored him. Andrea’s home was her workplace. She was a mother who took care of every need and desire of her husband and her little ones. She worked alongside Bernie in all their endeavors, and they achieved many things together. They were of the same mind and heart, and were blessed with a great marriage. Andrea was optimistic, strong-willed, and stoic in facing any challenge. She was also virtuous, loyal, and compassionate. She was a fun-loving mom who gave her kids the best things in life, her time and her love, and their needs took precedence over hers. She planned every day, prepared homemade meals, and tended to her home with a passion. Her meticulous nature was seen in her children. She taught them to be mannerly and neat in appearance, and they were admired for these attributes. She treated them like adults and told them to be true to themselves. Her love and selflessness will be a driving force in her children as they grow. Andrea enjoyed spending time around the pool at their home, visiting water parks with the kids, and Sylvan Beach, a place that she loved. She was fond of shopping with her mom when Bernie wasn’t available. She and her mom were companions and best of friends, and Andrea aspired to be as good a parent as her mom was to her. She will always be remembered for her goodness, generosity, and great laugh. She found happiness in her husband, fulfillment in her motherhood, and joy in each day. She was a parishioner of St. Mark’s Church. Andrea is survived by her husband, Bernie; her children, Bernard J. “Bernie”, 9 years old and ‘his dad’s clone’, and Abrianna, 6 years old and ‘her mother’s daughter’; her parents, Susan (Amato) and Gary Hunt, who were amazing parents; and Ralph J. Imundo and his wife; her brother, Matthew P. Imundo; and her in-laws, Doreen (Lia) and Bernard L. Carcone. Always close to her heart was the memory of her brother, Ralph J. Imundo II who preceded her in death. She also leaves her niece and nephew, Amanda and her husband Casey Simons, and Joey Carcone, Jr.; many aunts and uncles including Bea Rocco, Dominick Amato, Donna and Pat Romeo, and Robert and Marie Imundo; her husband’s grandma, June Lia who she loved and with whom she shared precious times; her in-laws Joseph Carcone and Jaime Ballard, and Ginamarie Carcone as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Sebastian P. “Sal” and Lucy A. (Monaco) Amato; and her paternal grandparents, Ralph A. and Dolores M. (Celani) Imundo. The family honored and commemorated Andrea’s life at a private time. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Andrea’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Monday morning at 11:00 at St. Mark’s Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. Mark Pasik. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Entombment will take place in Christ Our Savior Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
