Mrs. Wanda M. "Vonge" (Blat) Andrisani Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

UTICA - Mrs. Wanda M. “Vonge” (Blat) Andrisani, age 98, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2022 with her loving family by her side. Born in Capron, New York, a section between New Hartford and Utica, now designated as Utica, on September 8, 1923, Wanda was the daughter of the late John Sr. and Nellie (Lekarczyk) Blat. She was honored and humbled to share a birthday with the Blessed Mother. She attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and Whitesboro Central High School. On April 30, 1944, at St. Mary’s Church in New York Mills, Wanda wed Victor E. Andrisani with whom she shared a blessed and loving union of 60 years prior to his passing on February 22, 2005. Known to many friends as “Vonge”, she was active in the PTA (Parent/Teacher Association) of her children’s school, and was pinned as a “Life Member”. She was at one time employed by the Utica Board of Elections under G. Carl Morse. Wanda loved to travel to Long Island and Las Vegas. She loved family gatherings and holidays ~ they were special to her. At one time, she was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and later at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Wanda is survived by her daughters, Carole A. Lazzaro and the late Peter A. Lazzaro, and Debra J. Carcone; grandchildren, Gina and Robert Malinowski, Shelly and Derek Muller; Marisa and Randy Bellair, and Michael P. Graziadei; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Malinowski; Connor Bellair, Carter Bellair, and Chase Bellair. She also leaves her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Karwowski; and brothers, Fred Blat, Joseph Blatt, and John Blat, Jr. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of the Masonic Care Community, especially Dr. Kevin McCormick, and the Buffalo Household personnel for the wonderful care and compassion that was given to Wanda during her stay. The family will honor Wanda’s life at a private gathering. Interment will take place in St. Stanislaus-St. Casimir Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
