Mr. David Carl Yeomans Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

UTICA - Mr. David Carl Yeomans, age 62, passed away due to ill health concerns on Friday, June 24, 2022 with his loving family by his side. He is now reunited with his beloved Mom and Dad. Born in Fort Kent, Maine on September 28, 1959, David was the son of the late Darwin Carl “Dime” and Nancy C. (Knepka) Yeomans. He attended Utica Free Academy and successfully obtained his GED. He continued his education at MVCC where he completed several Business Management courses. At a young age, David was married to Joan Siegenthaler and to that relationship came the blessing of his 2 eldest children, David and Nicole. As friends, David and Joan came to better understand each other, and they remained true friends until the end. He entered into a subsequent relationship that gifted him a third child, Christopher. Ultimately, David was joined in a union of 27 years with the former Mary Giehl who gave birth to his youngest child, Jenna. Mary and David had the wherewithal to respect their bond and commitment as parents, and forged a tight-knit family focused on unity. An extremely hard worker, David was endowed with a talent for mathematics, a great asset for his chosen job as a roofer. He precisely produced the materials needed when he was employed by Cobblestone Construction and Under Estimator Builders. He was a handsome man who had a way with words that were so convincing, that he could surely change your mind. In retrospect, Dave’s intentions were always good. In each of his children and grandchildren he saw their great potential and knew that their lives would be better than his, in regard to his own choices. A bit of reluctance was in his heart, but he hoped that he left each of those who loved him a bit of hope… David is survived by his children and their loves, David Yeomans and Deena Inserra, Nicole Yeomans and fiancé Curt Fowler, Christopher and Kathleen Yeomans, and Jenna and Travis Anderson; his grandchildren to whom he was Papa, Dante Griffin, and Chloe Fowler; Brooklynn Anderson, and Arianna Squires; his siblings and their spouses, Scott A. and Tracy Yeomans, Wayne L. Yeomans, Charles “Dime” Yeomans, and Becky and Dan Ziobro. He will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, and the memory of his nephew Daniel who passed away in 1992 as an infant; cousins; aunts and uncles, Ron Moore, Virginia Yeomans, Abra Knepka, and several Yeomans aunts and uncles; in-laws, Steve and Toni DeMola, Gene Giehl (and his late wife Lisa), Gary and Kay Giehl, and Dana and Chuck Clark. Dave and Kenny Robidoux were “besties”, faithful friends that acted like an “old married couple.” He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Albert and Helen (Milligan) Knepka; and paternal grandparents, Herbert and Marion (Bendix) Yeomans. The family is grateful to the staff of MVHS at the St. Elizabeth Campus, especially Christopher from the Emergency Department, and Kyle, Russell, and Abby from the Intensive Care Unit who were so informative, sensitive, and supportive with the health care dynamics provided during Dave’s final days. The family will gather at a private time to celebrate the memories of David’s life.
