Mrs. Beverly A. (Boisvert) Sukackas

December 2, 1941 - April 28, 2021

N. UTICA - Mrs. Beverly A. (Boisvert) Sukackas, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at MVHS Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. Born in Schenectady, NY on December 2, 1941, Beverly was the daughter of the late Clarence and Anna (Ralbovsky) Boisvert. She received her elementary and secondary education in Schenectady where she graduated with a high school diploma. On October 20, 1962 she married the love of her life, Richard J. Sukackas with whom she shared a loving and devoted union of 23 years prior to his passing on January 23, 1986. Beverly was a hardworking homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. In her earlier years, she was very involved in her children’s activities, and she enjoyed her time spent as a “Room Mother” at school, and a Girl Scout trip leader. She was very outgoing, and along with her husband, hosted festive family gatherings and events. She enjoyed traveling with her family, and looked forward to their trips that created many lasting memories. During her younger years, she enjoyed and excelled in the sport of golf. She was of the Catholic faith. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Debra Bick; and she cherished the memory of her daughter Sharon Schultz who passed on November 11, 2007; her grandchildren, Deanna and James Charles, Kayla and Kyle Leisner, Erica Armitage, and Megan Schultz; and her great-grandchildren, Cameron, Kenzi; Oliver; Noelle, and Desmond. She was proud to know she was to be a great-grandma again, in August, with the anticipated arrival of Baby Brooke. She also leaves her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; in-laws, Joan and Bill Fagel, and Larry and Linda Sukackas; and her longtime friend, Lucille Maneen and her family. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Gloria Boisvert; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Clara Sukackas; and brother-in-law, Edward Sukackas. The family extends their gratitude to Dr. Scott Brehaut and his staff, especially acknowledging Sharon and Danielle for their many years of exceptional care; and the personnel of MVHS Rehabilitation & Nursing Center for their kindness, professionalism, and individualized care. In keeping with Beverly’s wishes, the family will gather to commemorate her life privately. Those wishing to express an act of kindness in honor of Beverly’s caring heart, may make a contribution to ICAN, formerly Kids Oneida, online at https://ican.family or by mail to ICAN, 310 Main St., Utica, NY 13501. She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery privately and at the convenience of the family. During this time of social distancing that we are all experiencing, please take a moment to connect with Beverly’s family through the “Memories” section of her obituary. Our prayers go out to all as a sign of our continued support.
