ALBANY - Beverly J. (Brittelli) Freshour, age 74, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. As she departed, she was surrounded by her love, Bob, and her family. Born in Utica on August 25, 1947, Beverly was the daughter of the late Orlando and Santina (Turi) Brittelli. She graduated from T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1965 and continued her education at Utica School of Commerce. Beverly was a devoted employee of the New York State Department of Health and held numerous secretarial positions for over 25 years prior to her retirement. She was an independent woman blessed with a beautiful smile, a generous heart, and a quiet demeanor. She was passionate about her past times which included shopping for those perfect well-coordinated outfits and accessories, she also found entertainment in watching the Food Channel and QVC. Many would remember her being an amateur photographer of work and social events when an actual camera was a camera! Beverly found music as a method to sooth as well as excite her soul. She enjoyed a variety of genres and attended many concerts of iconic performers. Even in last days of her life, music surrounded her. Alongside her companion, Robert “Bob” Benson, together they enjoyed many of life’s moments for more than twenty years. As a couple, they found pleasure in dining out, traveling to Las Vegas and Florida; although they companioned one another, they were respectful of each other’s needs. Beverly was a woman rooted in her Catholic beliefs. Beverly is survived by Richard Freshour, they had experienced a separation in their marriage but had remained amicable through the years. She is also survived by her dear companion, Bob; Bob’s children, Rob Benson, Brad Benson, Rebecca Winslow, and Tammy Morgan, and their families. She leaves several nieces and nephews, Michele and Lawrence Goldberg, William Jr. and Bridget Brittelli; and Jenna Brittelli; great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She will be remembered by many friends, especially from her years of work with New York State. She was predeceased by her brothers and sister-in-law, William J. and Alberta Brittelli (who she was best of friends with), and Richard Brittelli. Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2022, from 10:30 – 11:30 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Beverly’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence at 11:30 immediately upon the conclusion of visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, online at www.alz.org; envelopes will also be available at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
