Mr. Angelo Pedone

April 4, 1946 - February 27, 2022

UTICA – Mr. Angelo Pedone, age 75, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, February 27, 2022, with his loving family by his side. ​Born in Utica on April 4, 1946, to the late Salvatore and Philomena “Fannie” (DeStefano) Pedone, Angelo was raised and educated locally a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. ​Angelo was blessed to share 24 wonderful years with the love of his life, Renee (Houle) Gulisano. Their years together were filled with a mutual, boundless love and devotion, and culminated in a blessed celebration of marriage. Angelo was a fantastic husband! ​For over 30 years, Angelo was employed with the former Harron Cable as a Linesman. There he was considered a devoted employee. ​A man who loved his family, Angelo was not only a wonderful husband, but he was also a loving brother. He was both caring and dedicated to those he loved, and was known for being able to communicate in a straight-forward manner. Angelo was a man of conviction. Moreover, he was a good friend. Angelo was both opinionated and strong, but he always was well-liked for his loving nature and his humility. ​Angelo had several favorite pastimes, the first of which revolved around shopping and secondhand treasures. He loved to frequent garage sales and even took pride in his own annual garage sales, which he eagerly hosted. Angelo truly loved to shop and was an avid bargain hunter. He also collected watches. Additionally, when Angelo took vacations with his wife, he especially treasured the times spent together. Angelo believed in the Catholic Creed. Angelo is survived by his wife, Renee; his daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Tom Pavlot; his sons and daughters-in-law, Ryan and Hayley Pedone, and Michael and Kayleigh Pedone; his step-daughter, Angela Gulisano-Baker and her husband Chris; and his step-sons, Anthony “A.J.” and wife Elizabeth Gulisano, and Christopher and wife Kelly Gulisano. Angelo also leaves behind 15 adored grandchildren. He will live on in the hearts of his sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy Engle, Maria and Arthur Holyoke; and his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Doris Pedone. Angelo will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, several special in-laws, and his best friend, Willie Bullis. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Mark Engle, Sr., and his sister-in-law, Michelle Miller. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Nurse Dakota of the IMCU, who cared for Angelo up until his passing; she was so compassionate in her care of him. Also, a special thank you to Raymond, Felicia, and Lyric. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, March 4, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, online at https://www.stjude.org/donate; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Angelo’s Funeral Service and Celebration of Life will commence at 6:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
