Mr. Willie B. King, Jr.

UTICA – Mr. Willie B. King, Jr., age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 10, 2025. Born in Utica, NY on September 14, 1967, Jr was the son of Willie B. “William” King, Sr. and the late Sandra (Brown) King. He attended Utica City Schools, including T.R. Proctor High School. Jr worked at multiple different fast-food restaurants in his years. At one time he was married to Tammi Jones and from the union came the blessing of their 2 handsome boys, Matthew, and Joshua. Jr may have been annoying to some but to most it was love. He loved to sit outside his building bothering and making everyone laugh while drinking his favorite love Natty Daddy with his brother, Mike. He also could be found inside watching the Animal Planet. Jr was predeceased by his mother, Sandra King; his 2 sons, Joshua, and Jordan; and his uncles, Samuel "Butchy" Brown, and Eddie, and Henry King. He is survived by his father, Willie B. Sr.; sisters, Theresa (Rick), and Darlene; his only brother, Michael Sr.; children, Shanta D.S. McCall, and Matthew King and Colin; and grandchildren, Avia, Ayianna, Ah'zaryie, Erianna, Evangeline, AdonTe', Aaron, and Amira. He is also survived by his nieces, Kaneisha, Shameika, and La'Sandra King; nephews, Donnie Jr., Michael, Jr., Denzel, Darzell; multiple extended family members including Laura, Kelly, and Carrie Jones and their children. He leaves behind his longtime friends and brothers, the late Donald Graham, Sr., and Ronnie Graham - they may have argued and fought, but no matter what, they were also brothers. He also leaves behind his aunts, Minnie, Bessie, Dee, Mae, Nannie, and Janie; uncles, Tommie, Davie, Billie, the late Henry, and the late Babe; and a host of cousins from the King and Gilmore families. He was additionally predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mattie Brown and David Brown; and his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Georgia King. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of Wynn Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 3:00-4:00 p.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Willie’s Home Going Service and Celebration of Life will commence at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place in New Forest Cemetery at the convenience of the family. This obituary was lovingly written by Willie’s family.
