Tracy May Sanchez

Tracy May Sanchez, age 23, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with the love and support of her family by her side. Born in Rome, NY on November 17, 1986, Tracy is the daughter of Jose Antonio Sanchez and Veronica Giardino. She attended her elementary school in Texas and received her secondary education at T.R. Proctor High School. She shared in a relationship with Gabriel Gonzalez for the past five years and they were blessed with three children. At one time Tracy worked at APAC as a customer service representative. A strong-willed, nurturing young lady, her children were the greatest joy in her life. She made them feel safe and happy during their young lives, and she will continue to love them, forever. She appreciated music, and treasured the times she spent with her friends, who were important to her. She found great comfort in assisting others in need, and her life was guided and inspired by her spiritual nature. She preached her truth as a Seventh Day Adventist. Tracy is survived by her mother, Veronica Giardino of Utica; her father, Jose Antonio Sanchez of Houston, TX; her children, Monica, age 1, Manuiel, age 2, and Angel, age 4; and their father, Gabriel. Survivors also include her siblings, Elishia Sanchez of Utica, Antonio Sanchez of TX, Adolfo Sanchez of Utica, and M. Shaelo Master “Shy” Walley; her paternal grandparents, Antonio Sanchez of TX, and Elvita Sanchez of Mexico; her nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She also leaves her trusted friends Olivia, Tati, Keke and Nene. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the ICU staff at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center for their attentive and comforting care during Tracy’s illness; and Sue Cooper for her outstanding compassion. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00-4:00 the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St. corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. For those wishing to do so, please consider memorial contributions in Tracy’s honor to the family for maintaining the well being of her children. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Tracy’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 at the funeral home immediately upon the conclusion of visitation. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
