Mr. Thomas J. "Tom" Reagan Jr.

UTICA - Mr. Thomas J. “Tom” Reagan, Jr., age 59, went home to be with the Lord when he passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 in the comfort of his home with his wife by his side. Born in Utica on June 25, 1957, Thomas was the son of the late Betty (Rush) Reagan and Thomas J. Reagan, Sr. On October 12, 1990 he married the former Marion B. Juliano with whom he shared 26 years. They were soul mates who shared each other’s strengths, weaknesses, and love. They were given the gift of time and togetherness to live life to the fullest. Tom had a sharp sense of humor and always expressed his wit with irreverence. He was genuine and honest in his opinions. Blessed with a benevolent nature, he endeared himself to people and would do anything to be of help. He loved his family and held a special place in his heart for each of them. He shared special times with his son, bonded by their love of sports, especially Boston Red Sox baseball and New York Giants football. God graced him with a granddaughter who made him so proud, and he put her on a pedestal. Tom enjoyed boating with his wife and friends on Oneida Lake and vacationing at the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He and his wife were season ticket holders cheering on the hometown Utica Comets hockey team with his “seat mates”. A communicant of Historic Old St. John’s Church, Tom took solace in his Catholic faith and was active in parish life. He was the co-chair of the church bazaar for a number of years and served as president of the parish council. Tom and Marion drove the children of the parish to religious education instruction every Tuesday evening. Tom is survived by his wife, Marion; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason P. Reagan and Christina Everrette; and his beloved granddaughter, Sophia Reagan, who always brought a smile to his face. He will also be remembered by his sisters and brother-in-law, Beth Reagan of Utica, and Connie Reagan and Brad Waldron of Beverly, MA; his niece and nephew, Max, and Anjuli Waldron; his in-laws, Toni and Neal Covey and their children Shane, Reid, and Erin; Mindy Juliano, and Theresa Juliano and her family; and his good friends, Dave Joseph, and Fred Washburn who showed great support for Tom throughout his life. He was predeceased by his in-laws, Mario and Elizabeth Juliano; and his dear friend, Joe Ruggiero. The family extends their gratitude to Joyce and Charles Showalter who were always available in time of need; and friends and neighbors who provided support and good deeds. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Saturday morning at 10:30 at Historic Old St. John's Church where his Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. John Buehler. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the service.
