Theresa A. (Conino) Wild

Mrs. Theresa A. (Conino) Wild, age 74, of Utica, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2011 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her family by her side. Born in Utica on September 11, 1936, Theresa was the daughter of the late Antonio Conino and Carmella (Valenti) Conino-Dubeck. She was raised and educated in Utica, attending T.R. Proctor High School. At one time she was married to Verne Wild and to that relationship came the blessings of two children. Theresa loved people and she could be counted upon to be there in time of need. She was an independent soul with good intentions of kindness and friendship. She was proud of her loving children and found her greatest joy spent in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards around her kitchen table and watching soap operas. She was a member of the Sons of Italy Lodge for many years, and her hobbies included Bingo and trips to the casino. Theresa shared in a committed relationship of 25 years with Donald Bailey who passed away on March 22, 2000. Together they raised 6 children. Theresa is survived by her children and their families, Donna and Phil Cagle, Michael Wild, Doreen and Frank Dobrzenski, Patricia and Timothy Mortis, Robin Bailey and fiancé Anthony Randazzo, Kathleen Bailey, Donald, Jr. and Tina Bailey, and Diane and Woodrow Brown; her 15 grandchildren; and her 9 great-grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her passing her sisters and brother-in-law, Rosemary Azzarito, Joanne Spinks, Patricia “Patty” and Bruce Olmstead, and Nancy Santucci; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and sister-in-law, Carol Conino. She was predeceased by her brother, Andrew Conino. The family wishes to thank the staff of the ICU at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, especially Debbie, who was extremely sensitive and compassionate. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2-4 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Theresa’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence Saturday afternoon at 4:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation. Committal prayers and interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
