Thaddeus C. "TC" Jones

Mr. Thaddeus C. “TC” Jones, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 with the love and support of his family. Born in Memphis, Tennessee on October 18, 1954, Thaddeus was the son of the late Clarence Crosby and Madeline Jones. He was raised and educated in Memphis. In 1972, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he honorably served his country stationed at Griffiss Air Force Base. At one time, he was married to the former Kathleen Reynolds and to that relationship came the blessing of their beautiful children. The past 20 years were shared with his love, Evon Green, in a playful, loving relationship. TC was employed as a laborer and construction worker at various local businesses. He was blessed with the physical strength required in these fields. He held positions at J-Kay Lumber, the City of Utica, the ARC Advocacy Agency, and lastly S.R. Sloan, Inc. Among his interests, TC loved music and he played the drums for 25 years with local bands, performing Rhythm & Blues at area taverns. The Cadillac was his favorite ride and he worked hard to acquire them. But his foremost love was his children, and he showed his support in gentle, quiet ways. His grandchildren arose in him a deeper level of love, and an appreciation for his role as a grandfather. There were times TC could make you laugh with gusto, and his one-liners and gestures were priceless. He always loved to attend barbeque gatherings, and he enjoyed television shows from eras past which kept him entertained. TC found God several years ago which gave him a purpose in life and allowed him to make peace with himself which was heartwarming to his family. TC is survived by his companion, “E”; his children, Thaddeus D. Walton, Olivia Jones, Thaddeus C. Jones II, Jessica Jones, and Jelisa Jones; and his grandchildren, Caleb; Lacey, Tonia, Cleveland, and Allana; Thaddeus III, and Xavier; Brooklyn; and Zaire. Also left to remember him are his step-children and step-grandchildren who he loved as his own; cousins; “E”s mother and step-father, Annie and Amos Watson. Also, TC shared a brother-like relationship with his former military service friend, Anthony “Buck” Buchanan. Visitation will be held Sunday from 11:30-1:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. His funeral service will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Chris Tringali officiating.
