Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" (Talerico) Noti

Mrs. Sandra “Sandy” (Talerico) Noti, age 72, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Born in Red Bank, New Jersey on October 1, 1941, Sandra was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Cittadino) Talerico. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. On September 26, 1964 she married John F. “Sonny” Noti with whom she shared nearly 50 years in a blessed and supportive union. At one time, Sandy was employed by the General Electric Company and later at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. More recently, Sandy and Sonny owned and operated ‘Mama Noti’s Deli’ located at the corner of South Street and Kossuth Avenue. Sandy was charitable and congenial with her customers, and she loved her neighbors in the community surrounding the store. Above all else, Sandy’s main motivation and greatest joys in life were her family, her home, and her grandchildren who she guided with her watchful ways. Whenever family or friends visited Sandy’s home, they were treated to her warm hospitality and were expected to partake of the plentiful cuisine she prepared and placed on the table. She took great pride in the appearance and cleanliness of her home, including the woodwork which had to be polished! Sandy enjoyed trips to see family and friends, but she preferred to travel only by car. Sandy is survived by her husband, John; her children and their spouses, Joseph “Joey”, daughter-in-law Naomi Noti of CT, Denise and Chris Closson of TN, Danny and Raelene Noti of Canada. Always close to her heart was the memory of her son, Michael C. Noti who passed away on September 23, 2011. She also leaves her grandchildren, John, Michael; Ashley, Tiffany, Christopher; Sabrina; Gabrielle, Juliana, Kathryn; Brittney, and Clare. In addition, she will be missed by her sister and brother-in-law, Annette and Anthony Giambrone of Ohio; her brother, James Talerico of PA; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, in-laws Frank P. Noti, Elaine and Frank Caramadre, and Angela and Raymond Walker. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Brenda J. Noti and several close friends. She was predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Lori Talerico, and Francine Noti, and nephew Anthony Giambrone Jr. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of the Presbyterian Home for CNY, Inc. for the daily outings and gatherings they provided for Sandy; and the Visiting Nurse Association and aides, especially Ruth, and Phyllis, for the wonderful care they rendered to Sandy. The family will honor Sandy’s life in a private gathering. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Sandy's funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Wednesday morning at 11:30 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. James Cesta. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.
