Mrs. Rosemary (Mangano) Juidiciani

Mrs. Rosemary (Mangano) Juidiciani, age 66, of Clinton, NY, peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, daughter, and sister by her side, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Born in Utica on February 19, 1949, Rosemary was the daughter of Antoinette (Fricano) Mangano-Imundo and the late Henry Paul Mangano. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1967. On September 27, 1969 she married her high school sweetheart, Robert Anthony Juidiciani with whom she shared 46 years. They were a perfect match because they were best friends and partners in life. Rosemary was employed by the Utica City School District as a Teacher’s Assistant for 23 years. She embraced the opportunity to provide special and loving care to her students who she affectionately referred to as “her babies.” On the job and in life, she was a mentor, always helping others to overcome life’s adversities. She retired in 2011. Extremely social and well-liked for her loving ways, she made friends easily and spending time with them was important to her. She always maintained a positive attitude and kept her faith while figuring out what to do next. She found joy in decorating and preparing for the holidays, especially Christmas Eve which she honored with a happy heart. She loved reading, art, cooking, baking, and the beauty of flowers. She was fond of communicating on Facebook and trying her luck at Turning Stone. Rosemary was blessed with the benefits of a husband who loved her and stood by her, a daughter and son-in-law who she adored, and grandchildren who filled her heart with joy. She put her trust in God, and through his grace she was able to cope with tribulations and trying times. She was a communicant of St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Rosemary is survived by her devoted husband, Robert; her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Tyson Redpath of Washington, D.C.; her mother, Antoinette Mangano-Imundo; and her adored grandchildren, Helena, Thatcher, and Weston Redpath. She will remain in the hearts of her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Gary Plescia; her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Patti Mangano; her in-laws, Joseph and Debra Juidiciani; her nieces and nephews, David and Loretta Plescia, Joseph and Meghan Juidiciani, Daniel and Jill Juidiciani, Lauren Juidiciani, and Jon Paul Mangano; great-nieces, great-nephews; countless cousins including Anthony and Debbie Fanti, Mary Ann and Gerald Cavoly, and David Juidiciani; and her friends, Cheryl and Bill Simon, Ann Schultz, June Campola Priesner who she loved like a daughter and who was by her side when she passed, and Donna Meola, and Millie Lenuzza. She also had the faithful companionship of her feline “PeeWee.” She was predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Agnes and Salvatore “Sam” Juidiciani. The family is grateful to the nurses and staff at the Regional Cancer Center who were encouraging and kind in treating Rosemary; and the outstanding physicians, nurses, and staff at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD who worked tirelessly to attend to her needs. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of the Hammond Ave. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Rosemary’s honor to the Regional Cancer Center at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Rosemary’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday morning at 9:00 from the funeral home and at 10:00 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered by Rev. James Cesta. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
