Mrs. Robin L. (Brown) Brindisi

CHADWICKS - Mrs. Robin L. (Brown) Brindisi, age 69, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Abraham House in Rome, NY after a 5 year battle with Pancreatic Cancer, with her family at her side. Born in Utica on December 2, 1952 she was the daughter of Russell and Arlene (Brodt) Brown. Upon graduating from Chadwicks High School, Robin continued her education at SUNY Cobleskill, and Mohawk Valley Community College earning an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. In October 1991, she married Angelo Brindisi with whom she shared the last 30 years. She was at peace with a short “bye bye” each night just to enjoy their time together and relax. She loved traveling to the outlets in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She was a big fan of Barry Manilow and enjoyed seeing him in concert on more than one occasion. Robin could also be seen at the Utica Comets Hockey Games sporting her latest Comets Sweatshirt and cheering the team towards victory. Robin worked for many years in the business field until she found her calling as the Deputy Registrar for the Town of New Hartford, the job she retired from in 2013 after 30 years of service. During that time, she made many lifelong friends and earned the recognition of a job well done by being honored as a recipient of the Outstanding Young Women of America Award in 1991. Robin is survived by her husband, “her buddy”, Angelo Brindisi; mother-in-law, Flora Brindisi; daughters and step-daughters, Kimberly Rueb and fiancée Rob Comenale of Marcy, NY, Megan and Bernard Hyman of New Hartford, NY, Sandra and Craig Johnville of Webster, NY, and Lisa and Christopher Jones of Quincy, MA; sisters, Cheryl and Domenic Mantoan of Woodbridge VA, and Mary Lou Shepard of Chadwicks, NY. She also leaves six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Robin was predeceased by her mother and father, Arlene and Russell Brown; maternal grandparents, Mary and Raymond Brodt, Sr.; uncles, Joseph Brodt, Howard Brodt, and Raymond Brodt, Jr.; father-in-law, Salvatore Brindisi; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Carrie Brindisi–Greene, Brian Greene, and Joseph Shepard; and niece, Lisa Shepard. Robin and her family would like to recognize and give a special thank you to the staff at Faxton Oncology, particularly to Dr. Samir Desai and P.A Windy Mitchell. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial donation in Robin’s honor to the Abraham House; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Robin’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Wednesday morning, February 16, 2022 at 10:30 from the funeral home and at 11:30 at Mary, Mother of our Savior Parish/Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, 2222 Genesee Street where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Clayville at the convenience of the family.
