Mrs. Patricia "Pat" (Blase) Mounser

UTICA - Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Mounser, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 5, 2021 at MVHS at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Born in Utica on July 12, 1932, Patricia was the youngest of five children of the late Rocco and Catherine Elizabeth (Camadine) Blase. Raised and educated locally, she attended Roosevelt Elementary School and was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School/Class of 1950. On June 22, 1957 at Blessed Sacrament Church, she married Louis J. Mounser, and they were blessed with a true love and a happy life. Louis passed away on June 22, 2016 on their 59th wedding anniversary. At one time, Pat held a position at Oneida National Bank. She then gained employment with Moore & O’Reilly Accountants, and lastly, she along with her husband, owned and operated the Mounser Agency, the position from which she retired. Pat loved to shop, travel, and enjoy their villa at Port St. Lucie, Florida, and the many trips they took to Las Vegas. She was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for 50 years. Pat practiced her faith as a parishioner of The Catholic Community of Whitesboro at St. Paul’s Church. Patricia is survived by her nieces and nephews, Bruce and Nita Woodbridge, Susan Goodstein, and David Goodstein; great-nieces, great-nephews; special cousins Nick Blase, and Sue Linoski; and friends, Diane and Neal and family, Jacque and Al and family; friends Rita Shannon, and Sheila and Ken Mursh. She was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Mary Grace Blase, Joseph Michael and Helen Blase, Marie and Norman Woodbridge, and Betty Goodstein. The family wishes to thank Diane, Pat’s “adopted” daughter; Jacque and Sheila who were her special angels when Lou passed; and Rita for keeping her well fed and caring for her during the pandemic. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Patricia’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Monday morning, July 12, 2021 at 11:30 at The Catholic Community of Whitesboro at St. Paul’s Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Her Rite of Committal will follow graveside with Interment next to her husband in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Donations in Pat’s name may be made to a charity of choice.
