Marion E. (Waterman) Risucci

Mrs. Marion E. (Waterman) Risucci, age 74, of Deerfield, passed away on Thursday, December 24, 2009 in the comfort and privacy of her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on September 5, 1935, Marion was the daughter of the late Gerald F. and Cora (McCormick) Waterman. She was raised and educated locally. On January 24, 1959, in St. Agnes Church, she married Ronald Risucci with whom she shared 50 loving years as the light of each other’s eyes. Marion worked as an assembler in the micro-electronics department of the General Electric Company French Road location, retiring in 1995. A loving woman with a delicate, sweet nature, she was a dedicated wife, relative, and friend. Blessed with a quiet demeanor, she never demanded attention or acclaim. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church. Marion is survived by her husband, Ron; and her sisters and brother-in-law, Nancy Miller of FL, Janet and Gabe Fondario of Utica, Carol Ege of PA, and Kathleen Waterman of FL. Survivors also include her dear and cherished friends who were like family, Fred and Jeanne Castronovo and their children, Gina, who was Marion’s godchild, Doreen, and Kristyn; several nieces and nephews, with special mention of Barbara Poccia and her family, her dear and cherished niece, Laurie Harvey and her husband Phil, and their children, Brittanie, Samantha, and Justin; great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws, Lois Waterman, Virginia and Dick Montero, Richard Risucci, and Arthur Risucci; and her friends, John Shaffer, Gregg Stazeski, and Deborah Bentley. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerald F. Waterman; and her in-laws, Kathleen Risucci, Nick Risucci, Donald Miller, William Ege, and Michael Risucci. The family expresses gratitude to the nurses and staff of Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. for all the care and attention given to Marion; and her sister, Janet, for being by Marion’s side. In keeping with the family’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Marion’s funeral service which will commence on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of Mass. By family request, please omit floral offerings. For those wishing to do so, please consider memorial donations in Marion’s honor to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc.; envelopes will be available at the service. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave.
