Louise (Kline) Adams

Louise (Kline) Adams, age 45, of Utica, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2008 at the Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center after a courageous battle. At the time of her passing her family was by her side. Born in Albany, NY on August 12, 1962, Louise is the daughter of Dorothy (Waverly) Kline and the late Foster Kline. Raised and educated in Utica, she attended T. R. Proctor High School. At one time, she was married to James Adams, Sr. Louise worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant at various local nursing homes. Most recently, she had been employed at the Bagel Grove as a cashier responsible for an assortment of duties. A woman of great strength of soul and character, Louise related well to people. She loved her family and had a mentoring spirit. In fact, her ability to bond with others was the most appreciated aspect of her personality. Warm-hearted and sociable by nature, she enjoyed cookouts, birthdays, and special celebrations --- any time her family got together for an occasion brought her the greatest pleasure. Louise carried herself with grace and independence, and in recent years she was baptized at the Greater Holy Temple. Louise is survived by her mother, Dorothy, of Utica; her sons and their families, Romell Ponder and Michelle Santillo, Leon Kline, Derelle Adams and Erica Blackshear; and her step-son, James Adams, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Adrianna and Alanna, and Eriyahna. Survivors also include her brothers and their families, Richard Kline, Calvin Kline, and Anthony Kline and Julie Spanfelner; her nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging Kyle Kline; great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, especially Aletha who was also her best friend. Louise was blessed with many great and loyal friends from all different walks of life. She was predeceased by her aunt and uncle, Louise and Maurice Waverly. The family extends appreciation to the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center and the nurses and staff of the Intensive Care Unit for the exceptional kindness and outstanding care that they offered to Louise. Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00-4:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Louise’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 at the funeral home immediately upon the conclusion of visitation. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
