Mrs. Lisa Ivelisse (Stone) Williams

Mrs. Lisa Ivelisse (Stone) Williams, age 47, went home to the Lord as she passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of her home on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Born in New York City on October 23, 1967, Lisa was the daughter of Daniel Stone and Carmen (Munoz) Conklin. Lisa and her family relocated to the Mohawk Valley to be closer to relatives in the Utica area. She was a graduate of Poland Central School. On July 13, 1995 she married Richard “Rick” Williams and shared with him 19 years in a relationship built on a foundation of love, trust, and honesty. Rick honored Lisa as a strong person who uplifted him in all facets of life. They were best friends who brought out the good in each other. Lisa was employed by Rockford’s Auto Glass as a receptionist and office manager. She had a comprehensive knowledge of the intricate details of the day-to-day operations which earned her the distinction of being the “right-hand woman” that everyone counted on. Her professional demeanor was admired and appreciated by proprietors and co-workers alike. Lisa was a compassionate, generous soul, graciously giving up her own needs to accommodate others before herself. If by chance you crossed paths with Lisa, she became your pal for life. She was a star in the many roles she played: she was a great daughter, best sister, fabulous wife, marvelous mother, adventurous aunt, awesome niece, and a wonderful friend. Fun-filled and energetic, her positive life force was far-reaching and felt by all. She was a whiz at organizing get-togethers and she loved to light up the dance floor. She was proud of her Puerto Rican heritage and the traditions handed down to her. She was a great cook with a fervent desire to ‘feed the world’. She always prepared more than enough, making sure that everyone’s favorite dish was on the menu. Lisa was graced with good will and a grand ambition to be a good person and make life a little easier for others. She was of the Catholic faith, but it was her own spirituality that sustained her. Above all, the greatest blessing of Lisa’s life was the miracle of the birth of her son —- her prince. Lisa is survived by her husband, Rick; her son, Aaron John Williams; her mother, Carmen Conklin and her husband Gary of Tampa, FL; her father, Daniel Stone and his partner Yvonne Flihan; and her sister and brother-in-law, Danielle and Tom Bateson of New Hartford. She adored her nephews and niece, Thomas, Zachary, and Darian; her aunts and uncles, Ivy (a second mother to Lisa who loved her unconditionally) and Dr. Michael DeJesus of Poland, and Rosa Munoz of MA; her cousins, especially Michael L. DeJesus, and Christopher DeJesus who were ‘her brothers’, as well as their wives Shana, and Jodi, Nelson Luis Medina, and Mirakle Grace Mayoral; her mother-in-law, Mary Bogdan and husband Michael; in-laws, Wendy and Ted Shufelt, John Williams, Steven and Merle Williams, and Betsy and Terry Tulip; her longtime and best friend, Ginny Webster and husband Jim; and her shitzu “Evie”, her baby who was always by her side. The family is grateful for the efforts and empathy rendered by the Ilion Police Department during this difficult time. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Lisa's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Tuesday evening at 7:00 at the funeral home officiated by Sister Elizabeth Giarrusso. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to enable them to establish an education fund for Lisa’s son, Aaron; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
