Keisha Y. (Wolfe) Stock

Mrs. Keisha Y. (Wolfe) Stock, age 25, of Utica, went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Friday, February 20, 2009 at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Her death occurred as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. At the time of her passing, she was carrying the life of her unborn child. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on June 4, 1983, Keisha is the daughter of Billy and Sandra (Avery) Wolfe. Raised and educated locally, she was a 2002 graduate of T. R. Proctor High School and was pursing her studies in education. On July 30, 2005 she married Kevin C. Stock; they shared a life devoted to another as true best friends. Keisha was employed as a residential counselor at Upstate Cerebral Palsy for several years. With a smile that warmed a room, she was a compassionate, caring, and kind-hearted woman, selfless in accommodating others. Family was her priority, especially children, whether family or friends. During her leisure time, she loved to dance, listen to music, play online mystery games, and watch Spongebob. She was a parishioner of Historic Old St. John’s Church and a former communicant of her childhood parish, St. Patrick’s Church in Forestport. Keisha is survived by her husband, Kevin; and her parents, Billy and Sandra. Survivors also include her sisters and brother-in-law, Leah Marie and Nicholas Graham, and Marynell Y. Wolfe, all of Virginia Beach; her brothers and sister-in-law, Timothy M. and Brandie Wolfe of Rome, Maurice Carr, and Emmanuel Dimming, both of AL. In addition, she leaves her aunts and uncle, Pat and Ron Creech of GA, Lillian Carr of CA, and Corabelle Crook of AL; several nieces, nephews, cousins especially acknowledging Bobby Crook of NC, who was like an uncle to her, and in-laws, Pamora Champion, Lydia M. Geigel, and Michael R. Geigel. She was also blessed with many dear and cherished friends, especially Nikki, Alicia, Lilly, Lindsey, Dorothy, Alyssa, Marisol, Abby, and Jessica. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Eva M. Avery. The family is grateful to the nurses and staff of the St. Elizabeth Medical Center and the Upstate University Medical Center for all the care and compassion shown to Keisha and her family. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Keisha’s funeral service and Celebration of Life which will commence on Wednesday evening at 6:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
