Kadalise Renee "Kady" Brown

UTICA - Kadalise Renee “Kady” Brown, age 9, became an Angel on Friday, December 28, 2018. Born in New Hartford on August 1, 2009, Kadalise was the daughter of Randolph C. Brown and Kermina DeJesus. Currently, she was in the 4th grade and lastly attended Watson Williams Elementary, and she loved to go to school. She was bright, academically inquisitive, and eager to learn. Kady was fascinated by unicorns and her life mirrored the definition of a unicorn which is innocence, purity, and the power of nature and all living things — a reminder of the divine presence of God. Kady liked to sing and dance, learning only the newest steps. She would gather all her toys, go into her room, and with a little bit of magic and imagination, they would listen to her. They were good playmates. She was a beautiful, expressive diva, and she asked that all address her as ‘princess’. She loved to dress up and perform, and she proudly said that she would love to become an actress when she grew up. Kady loved mama’s rice and beans, Chicken McNugget Happy Meals, oats, and corn meal. She set the table and washed the dishes, standing on a chair to reach the faucet. She was the apple of grandma Isabel’s eye and her papa will always love her. Kady was their world, and their close bonds could not be broken. Her mom knew that Kady was blessed and special when she was born, and even at an early age she had strong faith and a relationship with Christ. Her life was cut short when she was diagnosed with cancer, but bravely fought her battle and her precious life is now renewed. She was beautiful in this life, and is beautiful in her new life with heaven’s angels. Kadalise is survived by her mom, Kermina “Mina” DeJesus; her dad, Randolph Brown; maternal grandparents, Isabel Rosado and Dario Mazzanet; her paternal grandparents, Randolph and Susie Brown; sister, Yanalise “Sissy”; brothers, Marquese “Peanut” and Malik “Goldo”; her aunts, uncles; and cousins, especially Serena who was her best pal. Kady loved the weekends when her cousins and friends came over, and they had such a good time. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 2:00-3:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Kady's funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the funeral home directly upon conclusion of visitation with Pastor J. L. Griffin of St. Matthew’s Temple officiating the ceremony.
