Mrs. June A. (Klossner) Fargnoli

Utica - Mrs. June A. (Klossner) Fargnoli, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at the Lutheran Care Home with her loving family by her side. Born in Utica on September 11, 1932, June was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Ostroughski) Klossner. She was a graduate of New Hartford High School. On April 7, 1951 she married Anthony M. “T” Fargnoli, Sr. with whom she shared a loving union of 65 years prior to his passing on May 27, 2016. At one time June held positions with Dr. Meyers, and Dr. Brennan as their receptionist. More recently she was employed by Oneida County Social Services in its Support Collection Unit, the position from which she retired. June was a very devoted wife and mother, and her door was always open to listen to problems and offer support. As matriarch, she enjoyed her role as the maternal head of the family. She was proud and pleased to babysit for her grandchildren spending countless hours together, especially during summers at Piseco Lake. She loved reading, especially historical romance novels. June is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Ann and Jaime O. Colon of Whitesboro; and her son, Anthony M. Fargnoli, Jr. and Patricia C. Bingham of Whitesboro. She held close to her heart the memory of her son, John J. Fargnoli who passed away on March 14, 1974. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Megan and Ed Wickham of Utica, Krizia Villanueva and her husband Scott Leslie of WI, John and Heather Fargnoli of New Hartford, and Richard and Courtney Fargnoli of Westmoreland; her great-grandchildren, Lia Brielle; Maya Addison; Nathan; Brandon, Bella Rose, Kianna, and Adien; her brothers and sisters-in-law, John Joseph and Joan Klossner of Clinton, and Ronald Klossner and Judy of Elmira. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and in-laws. The family is grateful to the staffs of the Saul Unit and the Gordon Unit at the Lutheran Home for the compassionate care they provided to June during her stay. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00-3:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. June’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Sister Betty Giarrusso, CSJ officiating the ceremony. Interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
