Judith A. (Mahady) Zalewski

Mrs. Judith A. (Mahady) Zalewski, age 37, of Whitesboro, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2006, at the Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center with her family by her side. Born on August 21, 1968, Judith was the first of a set of triplets born to the late Charles and Elizabeth (Mackey) Mahady at Hamilton Hospital in Hamilton NY. She was raised and educated in Sherrill NY. On September 5, 1998 she married Robert "Rob" S. Zalewski with whom she has enjoyed a loving and devoted union. Judith's life revolved around her family, especially her son, Nicholas. She cherished every moment she was with him, and she was actively involved in his life, in his development, in his learning, and in any activity that caught his interest or brought him enjoyment. She also shared strong and loving bonds with her sisters and brother, especially with Jill who was her identical twin. Judith was a social and fun-loving person with a happy manner and a beautiful nature. She was a loyal and good friend to all those whom she honored with her friendship. She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Zalewski is survived by her husband, Robert "Rob" S. Zalewski of Whitesboro; and her four-year-old son, Nicholas R., who was "the love of her life." Also surviving are five siblings: Kim M. Kent of Morrisville, Beverly J. DeSantis of Tampa, FL and her husband, Phil, Suzanne L. Mahady of Bouckville, NY; Judith's triplet sister who was her identical twin, Jill E. Tucci and her husband, David Jr. of Marcy; and her triplet brother, Jeffery C. Mahady of Chadwicks. In addition, she leaves her aunts and uncles; a number of nieces and nephews, especially acknowledging Dominick Tucci; cousins; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stanley and Sandra Zalewski of Whitesboro; her in-laws, Andrea and Robert Parry of Litchfield; and many special friends. Visitation will be held (Wednesday) from 4-7 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. A celebration of Judith's life will be conducted at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 7:00 immediately following the conclusion of calling hours. Interment will take place in Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. "God saw you were getting tired, and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered, "Come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard-working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
