Judith M. "Judy" (Cvetezar) Michalowski

W. UTICA – Judith M. “Judy” (Cvetezar) Michalowski, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Her untimely departure took place in the comfort and dignity of her home. Born in Little Falls on March 12, 1955, Judy was the daughter of the late Walter and Julia (Maloney) Cvetezar. She was raised and educated in Little Falls, graduating from Little Falls High School in 1973. Judy knew the friendship and companionship of Ronald N. “Ronnie Bell” Michalowski for over 42 years. The two were united in marriage on May 18, 1991. They were compatible and shared a strong commitment to one another. Their union blessed them with 3 children. Ronald passed away on July 13, 2012. Judy first found employment at the Lutheran Home, where she diligently cared for her patients. She also worked for a time at the Waffle House where she held many positions, primarily as a server. She later was employed at the Green Lantern Tavern, where she served patrons with her cheerful personality. She was a hard-working woman, who gave her all in everything she did. Judy had a heart of gold and was a natural caregiver. She selflessly gave to others, even when she personally may not have had it to give. She was never afraid to speak her piece and had a loving and funny personality that will be greatly missed. A great animal lover, all strays were welcome in her home... and the kids brought the most unique of them home! She was loved and appreciated by so many people for her hospitality and compassionate heart. She was an excellent cook, and her children always appreciated the efforts she made to please their palates. While her husband was alive, she was a part of numerous veterans’ organizations. She loved to watch her daily soap operas and do crossword puzzles. A true gardener at heart, she meticulously cared for her indoor and outdoor plants; she communicated them and even named them. That was her way of tending to them and encouraging their flourishment. A lifelong Catholic, she was a true believer and celebrated all the sacred holidays of the church calendar. Judy is survived by her children and their loves, Ronald N. “Ronnie” Michalowski, II and Ashley Winters, John and Amanda Michalowski, and Haley and Ahmed Omar; and her grandchildren, Mikaylah Delano, and Charisma Kieser; John Michalowski, Jr.; and Basia Michalowski, and Rahma Omar. She fondly remembered her sister who preceded her, Patricia A. Lindsey. She additionally leaves behind her brother, Walter Cvetezar; brother-in-law, Paul J. Lindsey; sister-in-law, Judy Cvetezar; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and an aunt. She was predeceased by her best friend, Jeanie Champion, whom she never forgot, as their closeness compared to that of sisters; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Johnny Bell and Pauline (Michalowski) Kennedy; and sisters-in-law, Mildred Spann, and Vivian Andrews. Judy’s family extends their gratitude to the following healthcare professionals who assisted her during her time of need: Dr. Dilip Kachare, her primary care physician; Dr. Jorge Ferreiro, her vascular physician; and the nurses and staff of Albany Medical Center. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Judith’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
