Mrs. Josephine "Jo" (Graziano) Mark

WHITESBORO - Mrs. Josephine “Jo” (Graziano) Mark, age 87, was reunited with her beloved husband, Don, when she passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Born in Utica on March 14, 1937, Josephine was the daughter of the late Anthony and Sarah (Gallo) Graziano. She was a graduate of T.R. Proctor High School. On May 28, 1960, she married the love of her life, Donald L. “Don” Mark. The couple shared a common devotion to their faith. Their union of over 57 years was blessed with happiness and harmony prior to Don's passing on June 17, 2017. Jo started a career at AT&T as an operator after graduating from T.R. Proctor High School. She left her career several years later to raise her family. Jo was renowned for her culinary skills, often described as an excellent cook and one of the best, as family, friends, and neighbors will attest. She faithfully attended daily Mass with her friends. She was also an avid sports fan, watching golf with her husband, tennis, and of course the NY Yankees. Jo enjoyed trips to try her luck at the casino. After Don's passing, she showed great strength and this last year acclimated herself to the Acacia Village community with grace, making friends and participating in many social events. Jo is survived by her children, Stephen Mark, Greg Mark and his wife Patricia “Pat”, Ken Mark and his wife Karen, and Marybeth Mark; grandchildren, Carolyn Mark, Justin Mark, James Mark; and Spencer Mark; and brother, Frank Graziano (the late Jennie Grace “Jane” Graziano). She was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Morton Setrin, and Michelina Knapp. She additionally leaves behind her brothers-in-law, Otto Knapp, and Richard Mark; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. She was additionally predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Chester and Philomina (Calprietro) Mark; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Emily and Michael Piscitelli, Eva Mark, Helen Mark, Peggy Mark, Phyllis Mark, Marie Mark, Chester Mark, James and Lillian Mark, and Albert and Dorothy Mark. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Josephine's Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life which will commence on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish, Rosary Campus, 1736 Burrstone Rd. There will be an opportunity to greet the family at the conclusion of Mass.
