Jeremy J. Kohler

Mr. Jeremy J. Kohler, age 28, of Utica, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Jeremy is the son of Kathy Kohler. He was raised and educated in Michigan. He enlisted with the U. S. Army and prior to his honorable discharge he was stationed at Ft. Drum in Watertown. On June 1, 2001 he married the former Martha Tuttle with whom he shared many good times in a mutually loving relationship highlighted by the blessing of their children. After his discharge from the army, Jeremy relocated to Utica. He then began employment at APAC Customer Services, Inc., currently serving as a supervisor. Jeremy was a computer wiz, skilled at surfing the web, and he was entertained and challenged by many online games such as World of Warcraft. He also enjoyed the Harry Potter movie series, horror films, and classic rock-and-roll music. Jeremy would often help friends and relatives solve their computer problems. He was a good-hearted man, friendly and easy to talk to. Jeremy is survived by his wife, Martha; his daughter, Marisa; his sons, Tyler and Nicholas; his mother, Kathy Kohler of Detroit, MI; his grandmother, Mary Ellen Noles of MI; and his sister Danielle Phillips of MI. Survivors also include his cousins, aunts and uncles, in-laws, Susan and Davie Tuttle; sister-in-law, Melissa Gleason and her children, Dakota and Brianna; his “extended and beloved family”, Mary Bumbalo and Paul Bumbalo; and his friends and co-workers at APAC, Larry, Rich, Chris, and Abbey. The family sends sincere thanks to the Utica Police Department Rescue Team for their polite and understanding presence during difficult moments. Gratitude is also extended to the physicians, nurses, and staff of the Intensive Care Unit at the Faxton-St. Luke’s Medical Center. Visitation will be held Tuesday (today) from 4:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. By family request, please omit floral offerings. Jeremy’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Rev. John Rose officiating.
