Jeanne (Hoyt) Pregent

Jeanne (Hoyt) Pregent, age 75, of Frankfort, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2009 in Florida. Born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, on June 3, 1933, Jeanne was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Hoyt. She was raised and educated in Pennsylvania and was a 1951 graduate of Clearfield High School. A veteran of the US Navy, she was stationed in Norfolk, VA and was the proud recipient of a National Defense Medal for her service during the Korean conflict. Many would remember Jeanne from her positions and outgoing personality at Chicago Market and Great American where she worked for many years prior to her retirement. A giving person, she volunteered her time at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare Center which gave her the opportunity to meet the most wonderful friends. Jeanne’s children were her greatest treasure and her love for them was unconditional. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with whom she shared a special bond and a loving relationship. Jeanne is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ron Fanelli, and Jody and Lewis Marshall, all of Florida; her sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Anne Pregent of Ohio, and Brad and Lainey Pregent of Florida; and their father, Thomas Pregent. Survivors also include five grandchildren, Robert; Sara and Lauren; Kristina and Ray; two great-grandchildren, Alivia and Stephen; her sister, Shirley Braniff of FL; her brother and sister-in-law, Cliff and Lorraine Hoyt of Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and her in-laws, Margaret Hoyt, and Martha Hoyt. Jeanne was blessed with many friends, with special mention of Marilyn and Joe LaBarbera. She was preceded in death by her siblings. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc. 932 South St. corner of Hammond Ave. By family request please omit floral offerings. Memorial contributions may be considered to the American Cancer Society Mosaic of Hope in memory of Jeanne’s struggle with cancer; envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Her Celebration of Life with military honors will commence immediately upon the conclusion of visitation at 4:00 at the funeral home.
