Apostle Hector R. Jorge

UTICA - Apostle Hector R. Jorge, age 50, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on June 10, 1971, Hector was the son of Placido Jorge and the late Carmen Rodriguez. He was raised and educated in Puerto Rico. In 1989 he relocated to the United States where he has since resided. On February 7, 2002 he married Alma Garay with whom he shared a loving and devoted union of 19 years. Fun-loving, caring, and very thoughtful, Hector was a family man who put the needs of his loved ones first. He was the owner and operator of BBG Cab Company in Utica. He loved his children and grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them. He loved to cook his specialty meals including turkey wings and ribs. A very spiritual man, Hector embraced his faith and found solace in reading the Bible. He used the lessons of Scripture to gain the fortitude to fight his afflictions to the very end and to know that the Lord would ease his pain and answer his prayers for eternal peace. Hector was proud to have had a ministry called Pentecostal Revival Church, Inc. in Utica and another called Restored by the King Ministries, Inc. in Decatur, GA. Hector is survived by his wife, Rev. Alma; his father, Placido of Puerto Rico; his daughter, Danay Garay and Emmanuel Perdomo; his sons, Aaron Jorge, and Claudio Jorge; grandchildren, Danairiz, and Jeziel Perdomo; and his sister, Carmen Jorge Rodriguez. He also leaves his niece, Lauralai; nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; many aunts and uncles; many dear in-laws; and many special friends including Fernando Diaz, Ronald Cancel, Valerie Maldonado, Mirsada Diaz, and Jasmine DeJesus. The family extends their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at MVHS at St. Luke’s Healthcare for their compassionate care; and to the many people who have shared prayers for Hector. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00-4:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Hector’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Saturday afternoon at 4:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation. Interment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
