Mrs. Geraldine Emma (Driscoll) Lucenti

Mrs. Geraldine Emma (Driscoll) Lucenti, age 65, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center with her loving family at her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 5, 1950, Geraldine was the daughter of the late Jeremiah Charles and Ann (McMurray) Driscoll. She was raised and educated in Brooklyn and settled in Utica in 1973. On October 15, 1982 she married Bernardo J. “Chucky” Lucenti; although they were wed in 1982, they had shared a loving and devoted union since 1973. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was always available to open her home and heart to her family and was there for them and their needs. She lived for her loved ones. She had an affinity for animals and was an advocate for their humane treatment. She also donated her time to causes of the POW (Prisoners of War) and MIA (Missing in Action) groups. She was of the Catholic faith. Geraldine is survived by her husband, Bernardo “Chucky”; her children and their loves, Joseph and Carol "Cookie" Rimmer, Lillian and Daniel Pearson Sr., Lewis and Christy Rimmer, Geraldine “Geri” Lucenti Jr., Tammy and Sean Brady Sr., and grandson Brian Lucenti who she raised as her own; her 16 grandchildren; her 5 great-grandchildren and another great-grandchild anticipated in the days to come. She will also be remembered by her brothers, James Driscoll, and Michael Driscoll; her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, in-laws, Mary Lisa Rimmer, and John Lucenti; and her best friends who were loved like siblings, Gail Lomont who offered her loving care and devotion; Michelle Lomont, and Billy Williams. She was predeceased by her brother, John Driscoll; and her in-laws, Frank Lucenti Sr., Denise Burns, and Donna Dorsagno. The family is grateful to family friend and hairdresser, Karen, for her love and care. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00-7:00 at the Eannace Funeral Home, Inc., 932 South St., corner of Hammond Ave. Geraldine’s funeral service and Celebration of Life will commence on Monday evening at 7:00 at the funeral home immediately upon conclusion of visitation with Sister Betty Giarrusso, CSJ officiating the ceremony. Entombment will take place in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.
